Client in different niche
A friend from my 6th form showed me a potential client. But he's in the restaurant niche. His other friend also does smma. And had actually made money. His friend wants to do a war on social media with the restaurant that I potentially will work with. But its all organic. I learnt about paid ads but I still want to take this opportunity. Do you guys have any advice on my next steps? My primary niche is construction. My skill is smma, mainly paid ads And if I say yes. This is my first client.
Finally booked an onboarding call ✅
As you guys already know about this post… I wanted to share a quick update. Today, I actually took the advice from the feedback I got from the community (which I really appreciate 🙏) and I decided to call the same guy again. The first time, he didn’t pick up. Then he called me back and said he was busy but would call me later. And when he did, we ended up having a really solid conversation — almost 45 minutes long. Here’s what happened: I explained everything clearly, answered all his concerns, and he gave me some feedback on how I should approach clients better in the future (like avoiding the word “qualify” when I’m offering something free). He told me he has two physical locations and he’s in the cleaning industry. He admitted he doesn’t really focus on reviews, and when I asked if he uses a CRM or has a past customer list in, he said no. He’s not super tech-savvy and usually just finishes a job and tells people “leave me a review” — but many never do. I suggested a simple solution for now: creating a QR code that new customers can scan to leave a review instantly. He liked that idea, and he even said if I show him real results, he’ll connect me with other businesses he knows. And the best part — I booked him for an onboarding call this Thursday, the 28th. Not a demo call (since I’m not selling anything right now), but a real onboarding where I set everything up for him for free as in exchange for a case study. So here’s where I’d love your input: Since he has no past lead lists info, or CRM to plug into, do you think starting fresh with QR codes for new customers is the right move to get him results? Or do you have any other tips on how I can bring him results fast without overcomplicating things? Also — this is going to be my very first onboarding call, so if you’ve done this before, I’d really appreciate any tips on how to run it smoothly.

Bro, this is a massive W💪. I guess this is a reward for all the hard work you been putting in man.
Day 16 Cold Calling – I Called 100 Businesses on a Bank Holiday (Didn’t Even Know!)
So today I called 100 local businesses and sent 100 SMS messages… on a bank holiday 😅. At first, I was seriously wondering why nobody was picking up. Hit after hit of voicemail, and “call back tomorrow.” Then, around my 40-50th call, one person finally picked up and said, “Why are you calling today? It’s a bank holiday!” That’s when it hit me — ohhh, that’s why 😆. Even with the holiday chaos, I still managed to book 1 onboarding call by following up with a lead I had reached out to on Sunday. Not bad, considering half the businesses were closed! Here’s the full breakdown of my outreach results from Monday:

Here’s another quick update on my onboarding journey...
So today around 1pm I followed up with the client that I was about to onboard yesterday. When I called him, he actually told me he was just about to call me and let me know he was ready for the onboarding call since he wasn’t that busy. I told him if he had time now, we could hop on, but if he was busy we could push it to around 4 or 5pm. He said, “I’ll give you the priority,” so we went ahead and finally hopped on the call. On the call, I explained everything I had done for him so far and showed him the QR code I created for his business to get more reviews. He tested it out and really liked it. The only problem with this client is that he’s not very tech-savvy. I sent him his GHL login details and since he wasn’t home, he joined from his phone instead of a laptop. He eventually logged in, but he struggled with creating a new password and then couldn’t find the button to connect his Google Business Profile. I told him to just follow along on my screen, but he said my screen looked too small since he was on mobile. If he was on a laptop, it would’ve been way easier. I then walked him through Launchpad and told him to click the option that says “connect your Google Business Profile,” but he still couldn’t find it. After struggling for a while, he suddenly left the call. I don’t think it was intentional — he had already told me his phone was about to die, so I’m guessing that’s what happened. I tried calling him right after, but his number said unavailable, which makes me think his phone just died. So right now, he’s very close to being fully onboarded. My question is: since he’s not good with tech, what would you guys recommend I do? Should I create a tutorial video walking him step by step on how to connect his Google Profile and just send it to him? Or is there a way I can connect his Google Business Profile for him without him doing anything? Also, I recorded the whole onboarding session, so I’ve got everything saved. Tomorrow I’ll call him again and make sure to finish the onboarding so he can start getting reviews.

Could you meet him in person? It could build trust and you could just show him. If not try to get him onto a computer and use zoom to take control of his screen and just do it yourself whilst showing him. Hope this was useful🙌
