What's everyone been working on?
Back home until January!! (Finally a break from travelling!!) I've been drilling things with the metronome... Still not perfect... But give it another week! I find it's best to set goals, and work on things to meet the goals... I'm almost up to tempo with Jimmy Rosenebergs version of "Chega De Saudade"

I'm working on the melody of "Si Tu Savais," trying to capture all the little details Django slipped into it, and it's a long process ;) every note is so well played...

@Rick Spence I have a transcription but in Cm so I translate everything in Bm. All the details like little tremolo, the shade of volume, the rhythmic interpretation are not written, I need to listen the song a lot to catch the sound of Django. The more I do this the more I like this song ! Sorry for my english ! ;)
Coquette
Hi everybody! There are several chords to play Coquette. Which chords as beginner can i start to practize? .
@Rick Spence Yes, and I like to play with the 4 top strings : x x 5 4 5 3 (Em) or x x 5 4 5 5 (Em7 11) or x x 5 6 5 7 (Em6) after this one you can play A7 x x 5 6 5 5 or x x 7 9 8 9 Therefore, you have more options to substitute the Em-7. It depends on the high note you prefer to hear in your chord.

Nice, I used to play core notes targetting with 3 fingers...sure it helps a lot for faster playing! thank you

It's was clear for me because I already played siminal licks (if I'm not wrong you target the root, 3rd and 5th with a note from the scale above and a chromatic note below) but I did't know the gypsy fingering.

I recently pulled up this waltz I used to play by Wasso Grunholz, known as Valse De Wasso! I've been obsessing over his compositions the last few days. I find it incredible that one guitarist who never recorded anything, still has managed to leave a legacy.
