Hi! Greetings from France! 🇳🇱 Last minute date! Just finished Sessions Manouches in the Cévennes, and just added a new concert in Nuenen, Holland — the city where Van Gogh painted over 200 paintings. I'll be performing with Sinti guitarist Paulus Schäfer and Swiss jazz violinist Eva Slongo. We're at Café De Stam at 2:30PM (FEW SPOTS LEFT) and 8:00PM (SOLD OUT). 🏕️ Camp Django in Ashland, OR is coming up fast. Oct 7th-11th — come join me, Sam Farthing, Paulus Schäfer, Tim Kliphuis and Eva Slongo for four days of full gypsy jazz immersion. We only have a handful of spots left. I spent a few days here relaxing, recording, and practicing guitar. I'm wearing a shirt once owned by Stéphane Grappelli, one of the biggest innovators of jazz violin. Just posted my solo guitar arrangement of Manhã de Carnaval — you might also know it as the theme from Black Orpheus (Orfeu Negro), the 1959 film that won the Palme d'Or and the Oscar for Best Foreign Film.
