ANNOUNCEMENT - New Group which I would LOVE you to join!
Hey Guys!! Other than the beloved 64, I have a new group which I'm very passionate about which is about not only teaching AI, but how to use it to generate income. It's brand new and will be free for the first 100. It would mean the world to me if you could join, but I understand if you'd rather not. I will be adding more content soon. See join link below: https://www.skool.com/retire-yourself-with-ai-5335/about?ref=a8dce8b30e7d46f1998ccb88b6769d1c

Do not know if you want me to be in that group 😂 Work as IT auditor in a company that does AI on large scale, also I use it myself increasingly as auditor. But also therefore know it’s risks and pitifalls, and kind of sceptical of data security of most of the AI things you can do as a self employed something. I am trained and paid to say why your project sucks…..
Ultimate 2 Cart for the C64
Has any body got a U2C for their C64. Are they any good. To pay over £150 for a cart is it worth it. I have a couple of KFF carts, Action Replay carts and others. It it worth people getting an Ultimate 2 Cart.

Yes, I might have some 😂 I have two Ultimate II+, one Ultimate II+L, one Ultimate 64 Elite 1 and one Ultimate 64 Elite 2. I LOVE the Ultimate range. As said, it combines two Pi1541s, SD2IEC and Kung Fu Flash in one and does it better with more functionality added on top. So in that sense they are not expensive. And they work great. Also in case you own a Commodore 128, they are, as about the only, fully compatible with that as well, including emulating also C128 cartridge images, having full 1571 emulation and supporting burst mode for 1571 and 1581. I also create software for the Ultimate range as tools to use them with a boot menu, and also use it under GEOS and CP/M.
Type-In Magazine Games
Back in the day, in the US at least, the magazines were filled with "type-in" programs. Listings of games and programs that you had to actually type in. Some of these were quite clever as coders learned how to produce the most "bang for the buck" getting cool results out of small code. One of my favorite type-in games is Crossroads from the Decemeber 1987 issue of Compute's Gazette. In Europe, it seemed that cover disks (or tapes) were more popular, though most of the US magazines offered the programs on disk for an extra fee as well.

I LOVED type-ins and did a lot of those, including typing in for days hex codes in MSE. Mainly got that from the German magazines Happy Computer and 64’er. My two favourites, including the link to the scan of the type-in: Bundesliga Manager https://archive.org/details/hc-1986-07-ocr/page/n29/mode/2up Crillion: https://archive.org/details/Happy.Computer.N57.1988.07-WoS/page/52/mode/2up

And this I recorded on my Ultimate 64. (But with incorrect mixer settings so only mono on one side, have to redo this someday) https://youtu.be/mzY3llLyjfI?si=r0b9eBM3HGC3xwny
What was the first game you ever bought for your C64
My first game was Super Pipeline by Taskset. As soon as I knew I was getting my 64 I went into my local computer store and managed to pick this up for the princely sum of £1.99. When I got home I loaded it up only to find it had no fast loader and took 12 minutes to load! Despite that this is a great arcade style game with brilliant for the time music. Taskset games were so quirky with a very British feel. Still a great game I load up and play regularly (but with faster loading 😊)

Eh, bought? Does buying type in magazines count 😂or does buying blank floppies for swapping count 😂 Have very few real originals from back in the day, and that were the Electronic Arts titles my dad got from the store. Rest was either swapped or type-in. Actually bought Defender of the Crown, Pirates! and Test Drive only the past few years after never owning originals before.
