🎬 Monday Challenge: Show Us Your Color Grading Skills
Alright Creators, time to kick off the week with something 🔥 Today's challenge is simple but powerful: 👉 Take a piece of your raw Log footage 👉 Apply your best color grade think cinematic tones, depth, separation, mood 👉 Post a before & after (side by side or short clip) here in the community. This is about more than just making clips “look good” it’s about developing your eye. The difference between raw and graded is what separates someone who just films from someone who creates stories with visuals. Don’t overthink it. Just drop your before/after and let’s get inspired by each other’s styles. 🚀 I will be checking them in and give you some feed-back. Post it at the Account/Content Review category 🎬 Who’s in? 💻🔥

Vertical vs. Horizontal: Best Format for Short-Form Videos with the Panasonic S5ii?
I have a question, guys. Should I record short-form videos directly in vertical format, or film in horizontal and then properly adjust to 9:16? I’m using the Panasonic S5ii.

I run the S5II as my camera too, If you're purely thinking short-form and want the simplest workflow, shoot vertical directly. You'll get the full sensor width for your shot. But for true leverage and flexibility, you can shoot in open gate (3:2 aspect ratio). This gives you the full height of the sensor to work with. That means you can pull both a perfect vertical (9:16) and a perfect horizontal (16:9) frame from a single clip in post. It's an absolute game-changer for repurposing content. Happy to show you how to set it up if you want. It's a non-negotiable for my workflow now. 🧠🚀

Just dropped some of my footage from today in the folder The file names should give you the vibe for each clip. A few of the gym shots got a little noisy, had to push the ISO to lock it in. All my shit is tagged (V-Log) for the CST.
