Ummmm...I am an old guy now, and so many of you on this forum will find this uninteresting. But, I am still on a complete high (yes - that still happens when you're in your 50s!!!! LOL). I was privileged to be selected to be a part of the Northern Ireland Veterans Squad that travelled to La Manga, Spain last week to take part in the Four-Nations Tournament which has been held annually for many years (yes - it is an over-60s tournament...but, I was given dispensation to travel, as our over-60s GK was unavailable). Arrived in Spain on Monday, beat Wales 2-1 on Tuesday; beat Denmark 3-1 on Wednesday; due to other results, needed a draw with England on Friday to win the tournament...0-0!!!! 🙂 On top of that, I was awarded MotM for our game against England (complete with tuneful rendition of "Are you Jennings in disguise?" at our Friday evening celebration!!!! (if you're younger than 40....Google "Pat Jennings"!!!! 😂))
