@Vanesha Williams soooo, I don’t ā€œprepareā€ for the 5k walks. I just try to walk at least 3 times a week. But the 5k start pace is just kinda chill, ā€œlet’s get movingā€ kinda action. But at the .25 mark I need to be ā€œgetting itā€ and arms pumping! šŸ˜‚ My pace times have been getting better with the 3 walks a week I’ve been doing recently.

@Vanesha Williams Oh, and I’m a bit of a competitor…I’ll usually scope out someone out in front of me and be like, ā€œ ok I gotta pass themā€, but they can’t pass me back šŸ¤­šŸ˜ (if they’re only walking and not walk/run/walk).

I’m going to be honest with y’all for a minute… The past few weeks I have completely fallen off track. I’ve still been taking my GLP-1 shot, which honestly has been saving me, but I’ve found myself at fast food restaurants way more than I would like. Life has been busy. Stress has been high. And my routines? They slipped. But here’s what I’ve learned on this journey… Falling off track doesn’t mean you stay off track. So this week I’m giving myself permission to reset. Not perfection. Just getting back to my routines one step at a time. Water. Better food choices. Movement. Small habits again. If the past few weeks have been rough for you too — you are not alone. Vanesha we all have days where it’s a lil chaotic and swinging by fast food is much more convenient. But you can still make good choice while still eating out. But I do know, sometimes you just have a craving for what you want; have it, enjoy it, then get right back on track. I wanted Talenti Southern Pecan gelato last week…I got it, tried it, rated it a 10….🤣🤣and moved back on track. Fallen off: not quite; been staying on track pretty much. Plus, the way all these prices going up, I’ve been staying away from fast food and cooking so it can last longer. Today I’m making either a sub in a tub or a grinder salad that will be for lunch tomorrow and maybe the next day too! I also got a walking pad this weekend. I’m setting it up tonight and see what it’s talking about! 🤭. My plan is to watch tv while walking.
