Incredibly proud to share a massive milestone for our local community and the global movement! 🌏🌱 Adelaide Climate Action Week (#ACAW2026) is officially integrating the Inner Development Goals framework into its entire 7-day program this July - making it the first climate event in Australia to do so! Instead of treating the IDGs as standalone academic theory, as part of the awesome ACAW organising team, we are seamlessly embedding the 5 dimensions directly into the operational infrastructure of the festival. We are calling it the "Root to Fruit" strategy: activating the relational and cognitive inner skills (the root) to drive measurable, collective climate action on the ground (the fruit). What this looks like in practice is multi-dimentional interactions Connect, Reflect and Contribute. Momentum to here has been built through the stewardship for embedding the IDG that I've doing with national women's organisations and climate networks in Australia. ACAW is a huge step forward in shifting the climate narrative in Australia from individual anxiety to collective, human-centred agency. Deep gratitude to everyone in the IDG community who is championing the IDG which collectively adds the ripples that makes milestones like these possible. 🔊Our meeting focused on the challenges faced by the community, particularly those working to bring the IDGs in organizations. Members discussed; strategies for engaging with business units, executives and potential clients, the importance of using clients' language, focusing on their pain points and goals, and the need to adapt their approach to different types of companies. The conversation ended with the decision to create a Google document to continue the discussion and schedule a second session.
