Week 7 Challenge
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbBoHLxov-E This week, we’re taking your English out into the real world! Many Brazilians struggle with the pronunciation of American states, and that’s completely normal! Some names are very different from what we would expect in Portuguese. Your challenge 🔥 Watch the video where you’ll hear the names of all50 U.S. states. Listen carefully, repeat the names out loud, and pay attention to the pronunciation. 👉 Don’t just watch, SPEAK! Pause the video if you need to and repeat the names until they feel more natural. This video is a gold mine for improving your pronunciation and getting more familiar with the geography of the United States. 🇺🇸 💬 NOW, TELL US: 1. Which U.S. state would you most like to visit, and why? 2. Which state name were you pronouncing incorrectly before watching the video? 3. If you could choose one place to live in the United States, which state would you choose and why? 🏡 Write them below and practice saying them out loud! 🎤
Which U.S. state would you most like to visit, and why? I Wanna a go to Tennessee because I enjoy country music and I have friends living there too 2. Which state name were you pronouncing incorrectly before watching the video? Omg so much!!! Connecticut and Massachussets always confuse me they speak too fast 3. If you could choose one place to live in the United States, which state would you choose and why? 🏡 My wife likes Idaho but I never been there. I enjoy Texas because it’s a conservative state and rich in culture
Week 2 English Challenge 🔥
This week, we’re doing a shadowing challenge using President Trump’s AI-generated video (yes, he posted that 🤣). I added both English and Portuguese subtitles to make it easier to follow along. You’ll also find the script attached below. Feel free to print it or write the lines down on a piece of paper before you start recording. Your challenge: ✅ Record all of Trump’s lines throughout the video. ✅ Then, choose ONE patient (Patient 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6) and record all of that patient’s lines as well. Your goal is to imitate the speaker as closely as possible. Pay attention to: - Pronunciation - Intonation - Rhythm - Emotion Before you record, listen to my example audio so you know exactly what I’m looking for. I personally chose Patient 3. When you’re finished, upload your recording here, and I’ll personally give you feedback on your pronunciation, intonation, rhythm, and overall delivery. I’m excited to hear your recordings! 🇺🇸🎙️

Immigrants who love America 🇺🇸🫡🫶🏻 (Share Your Story)
This is one of my favorite spaces in the community. I’d love for you to share your story. Tell us where you’re from, why you came to the United States, and why you’re proud to call America home today. This is a great opportunity to practice your English while also allowing Americans to hear real success stories from immigrants who love, respect, and appreciate this country just as much as they do. In today’s political climate, one thing I always say is this: if you’re an immigrant who loves America, don’t stay silent. Be loud. Speak up. Too often, the loudest voices end up shaping how immigrants are perceived. But the truth is, there are countless immigrants who are deeply grateful for the opportunities they’ve found here and who genuinely love this country. Your story matters. Your voice matters. I can’t think of a better place for us to share those stories than right here.

I love this country so much because it gave me everything I could only dream in my home country Brazil. I came here and yes it was hard, I didn’t know English I was away from my son but in the end, as everything here in this country, everything worked out because the difference between here and Brazil is that here hard work pays off!!! 🫡🫡🫡🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
