Day 51/56 - Your First 56 Days
We’re on Day 51 of our 56-day challenge, and we’re getting closer and closer to the finish line! That’s something we should all be grateful for. Think about how much you’ve grown, how committed you’ve been, and how far you’ve come since Day 1. The progress I’ve seen and the messages I’ve received from you throughout this challenge are things I’m truly grateful for. Now it’s your turn! What’s something you’re grateful for? I want to know! 🎥Your challenge today: Record a 60–90 second video talking about things you’re grateful for. Try using new vocabulary, expressing your thoughts clearly, and giving specific examples to explain why these things matter to you. Here are some questions to help you get started: - What are three things you’re grateful for today? - Who is someone you’re especially grateful to have in your life, and why? - What is something you often take for granted but truly appreciate? - What experience has taught you to appreciate the little things in life? - What is one thing you’re grateful for about yourself? You don’t have to answer every question. Choose the ones that inspire you and speak naturally. Keep showing up, keep practicing, and keep pushing yourself to express your thoughts in English. We’re almost at the finish line! Consistency today, fluency tomorrow.🇺🇸

@Simone Rodrigues Welcome, Simone! I am so glad to have you here :) I completely understand how busy life gets when balancing a full-time job and raising three kids! (I also have three little ones) You’ve already accomplished so much by living in CA for 23 years and communicating so well, and we’re so excited to help you take that next step to refine your grammar and boost your pronunciation confidence. Even with a packed schedule, you’ll find that this is a supportive, judgment-free space where you can practice at your own pace and receive valuable, constructive feedback. Next steps: 1. We are currently building this week’s schedule and will be adding all class times to the calendar today. Be sure to check the calendar tomorrow morning so you can plan ahead and see which weekly sessions fit best into your routine. 2. Record your first video/audio for the 56 day challenge. That is where you'll get the most out of your membership because I will be giving you specific feedback on things you can improve to speak English with more confidence. We are so glad you’re here, Simone! Get ready for an amazing journey ahead.

@Marcia Saiter Hi, Márcia! I really enjoyed watching your video! I was so happy to hear about your trip to Canada. I’m actually planning a trip myself, and I really want to go to Israel. I’ve been praying a lot for God to open doors and make it possible for me to go safely. I’m sure that when I finally get the chance, it’s going to be an amazing experience! Now, let’s talk about a few things you can work on to keep improving your English. First, I’m noticing that your fluency is getting much better, and that makes me really happy! You’re expressing yourself more naturally, and I can see your progress. However, one thing you still need to pay attention to is using the past tense consistently. Sometimes you use the past tense correctly, but other times you forget to change the verb. For example, today, when you talked about praying, remember to say “prayed” instead of “pray” because you’re talking about something you did in the past. Pay attention to those regular verbs ending in -ed, as well as irregular verbs, because both are important when telling stories or talking about past experiences. My tip for you is to practice past-tense verbs regularly and try to pay attention to them whenever you speak. The more you practice, the more natural they’ll become! Another expression I want you to learn is “I’m on the right path” or “I’m on the right track.” Both expressions mean that you feel you’re going in the right direction or making the right decisions. For example: - “I feel like I’m on the right path.” - “I believe I’m on the right track.” These are very natural expressions that native speakers use in everyday conversations! Keep practicing, keep challenging yourself, and remember that fluency comes from consistency, Marcia. You’re getting better each day, and I’m so happy to be part of your journey! ❤️

@Luciano Paes Luciano, I was so happy to hear you talk about the positive feedback your received about your English! I can really see how much you’ve been improving, and I’m very proud of your progress. One thing I’m especially happy to see is your growing self-awareness when you speak. You’re starting to notice when something doesn’t sound right and correct yourself in the moment. That’s a huge step toward fluency! Your pronunciation is also getting so much better, and it’s wonderful to see how far you’ve come. Here are a few things to pay attention to: - “More six” → “Six more” - Remember, in English, we say six more days, not more six days. We’re getting closer to the finish line! - “It well done” → “It was well done.” - Don’t forget the verb was when you’re talking about something in the past. - “Make me happy” → “Makes me happy.” - When the subject is it or another singular noun in the present tense, remember to add -s to the verb: It makes me happy. Keep up the great work, Luciano! Your progress is clear, and I love seeing you become more aware of how you speak. Keep practicing, keep challenging yourself, and keep going. You’re doing an amazing job! 👏
