I would agree. Lab designs will be more thoughtful to maximize function while reducing footprint. I was looking at some N150 mini systems, but they went up by $50 a pop over the span of three weeks. Crazy.

@David Vincent this was around $250CA when I added it to my wish list… https://a.co/d/dZ0fOmw
Network Expansion
After two years of Homelab the time has come to expand my IP pools and introduce a second, entirely separate physical network. My 192.168.1.0 network is rapidly running out of usable IP addresses. I also like to batch IP addresses when wanting multiple for a project. So my new project will be to setup a new 192.168.4.1/23 network, giving me 512 usable IP addresses and freeing up IPs on the hone network, amd away from the consumer router that frustrates me so much. My first job following network install will be to move the first of three Proxmox Server over to the new network. Then the task of updating all static IPs to with there new addresses. As an aside the new network will also have two vlans each with there own set of 254 addresses. This is a long overdue project to finally tidy my physical network, and, properly airgap my homelab.

192.169.0.0/16 is a public address range assigned to a company. You might want to consider using another in the 192.168.0.0/16 range. Or from 10.0.0.0/8 or 172.16.0.0/12.

There are a lot of add-ons for the 10” racks if you have a 3D printer. Blank plates to custom mounts for mini pcs and small switches.

@Jason Eurich interesting. They don’t seem to be available in Canada.

Hey all, I’m looking for a small rack all I find is Mojo Rack, and GeekPi. Any recommendation? Thanks

Are you looking for a 10” rack when you say small or a 19” short rack? If it’s a 10” you are after and you have access to a 3D printer, try Lab Rax. https://makerworld.com/en/models/1294480-lab-rax-10-server-rack-5u

@Jose Pelaez no problem. That’s why we are here. :-)
TP-Link Ban If it Happens
Here is a good video explaining what will happen if there is ban on the company. One item it talked about was smart home devices that are made by TP-Link which slipped my mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-eHtS0U4TY&t=13s

@Jose Pelaez as do I, but I do use the tp-link as a wireless access point.
