What are you using for power resiliency in your home labs? Curious to know
I wrote up a quick blog about this today and wondering if you have other cool power resiliency tricks up your sleeves. 7 Ways to Make Your Home Lab More Resilient to Power Outages https://www.virtualizationhowto.com/2025/08/7-ways-to-make-your-home-lab-more-resilient-to-power-outages/

I Built This DIY 10 inch Rack For All My SBCs
Hey Everyone, I wanted to share my DIY 10 inch Server rack I built. The rack is built using aluminium profile rails while the rack mounts are 3D printed. I have full article with the components I used and the STL files for the mounts I created. https://smarthomecircle.com/I-built-a-diy-10-inch-server-rack I hope I can inspire some DIY makers to build their own racks to start their home lab journey 😃 You can also watch the build on my YouTube Channel : https://youtu.be/66axG6TpT6A

There are plenty of 10” rack mount kits and parts on Makerworld, and other repos. They all look very interesting.

@Amrut P could go this route too and 3D print everything else. https://a.co/d/iUpFxBT
3D Printers
Just wondering how many own a 3D printer, what type or brand and your thoughts (pros and cons).

@Simon Varlow explain?

@Simon Varlow You may have a jam in the heat break. If you remove the nozzle, the filament should pass through with no problems while cold, no need to heat for this. If not, you have something stuck in there. Try heating it without the nozzle attached and use a small Allen key or wood rod of appropriate diameter to clear the jam. I would remove the Bowden tube from the top of the print head and gently push down through the hole to clear. Careful not to burn yourself. With the tube and nozzle removed you should be able to see all the way through.
