Fail2Ban and Zabbix Monitoring
I have recently started using fail2ban alongside nginx proxy manager. My next phase this activity is to monitor the log file outputs with zabbix, possibly extending into Grafana, as that has far superior dashboard options IMO.

@John Lohman this sounds very interesting. With having so many self hosted apps I wanted to add more robust security layers, as well as my current monitoring through my SIEM.
What do you run on your Hypervisor(s)?
What do you run on your hypervisors? Here are my two live hypervisors, both running proxmox and both linked to proxmox back up server

Cheers both, I fine them really useful for organisation, especially moving VMs from one proxmox server to another. My tasks for this weekend: 1. Create a test build of CheckMK raw 2. Install fail2ban across my VM's 3. Build a dedicated proxmox backup server for my media server 4. Start build of new desktop PC

@Andrew Hargreave I also use one of these for the headend for my proxmox backup server. I also use a 2.5gbe USB NIC, not so much for live throughput but to make sure that my backups that start at 2am complete by 6am.
What are your first services you spin up in a home lab?

NGINX Proxy Manager (UPDATE: Resolution in Comments)
Hi All, When I try to log into my NGINX Prioxy Manager I am getting an intermittent Bad Gateway error message. I have read that this is a known issue. Has anybody had any success in resolving this. Gateway is fine as the other services using the gateway have no issues.

@Brandon Lee after taking oyur suggestion, i did indeed refer to the logs and I could see a repititve error message that referred to nginx proxy manager failing to resolve to my internal dns host. i cleared the dns host out of NPM, rebooted, restarted docker compose file and hey presto it worked. I am not going to rervert back until I can find out why this happens and if there is a resolution.
