What does God say your current season is for?
Ecclesiastes 3:1-11 will really open your eyes to where you have made your own moves outside of Gods will or plan. We have these plans for us that are beautiful and some are even desires that were placed by God himself…. But it’s not yet time for them.

I am going to spend time before bed tonight Reading Ecclesiastes
God is wanting to show you the kind of love that you've been chasing after.
1 John 4:18- There is no fear in love.... Last week we ended on how inconsistency can feel familiar and we continue to choose it over and over, even if it hurts us... Today we are diving into the other side of that.. Pushing away love that is consistent bc it feels scary or uncomfortable. Sharing stories of my own experiences and how God revealed himself in it all.
God is wanting to show you the kind of love that you've been chasing after.

Powerful message. Thank you for sharing 💛
Is it real love or just familiarity?
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever.. We as humans tend to gravitate toward what is familiar. We have created comfort zones for ourselves to the point we can mold and accommodate ourselves to what is familiar. But familiar doesn’t mean healthy. Familiar doesn’t mean genuine or real. Thankfully, we have Jesus to show us what real love is. He isn’t moldings himself to fit us… His love is perfect, consistent and the same everyday.

Why aren't you avoiding the people that are stunting your growth?
2 Timothy 3: 1-9 gives a long list of people that we should be avoiding in our lives, including those who act religious or moral but reject the true life-changing power of God in their hearts... This is a boundary that many struggle to create. They prioritize this relationship over their relationship with God and that's exactly why Paul says to avoid them bc they will lead you astray. They will stunt your growth. They will hold you back. Is there someone in your life that is someone you should be avoiding? Was there a time in your life that many people in your life possessed the qualities listed in scripture and you had to create boundaries? How did that go?

I feel like I have been under spiritual attack the last week, my Mom said the devil is working overtime since I have been spending time in devotion and trying to get closer to God. It's affecting my sleep and spiking anxiety levels. I have gone through this shedding process this last year. It's alot of layers and things that came to light, things I tolerate, my lack of boundaries and lack of self respect and accepting lopsided friendships that had been unreciprocal for years but I always just made excuses that was just how they were because I did not want to let go of those friendships because we had such a long history. The thing is I realized when I stopped reaching out our friendships seized to exist. That was a hard truth to swallow but I never want unequally yoked friendships again. I would rather have a small circle of true blue friends than a large group of fairweather friends. Only God knew what I needed when I needed it and he brought me to places in the right timing to meet new people and slowly start to build some new healthy friendships.
A healthy relationship with God comes before a healthy relationship with others.
1 John 4:8 The one who does not love, does not know God because God is love. Relationships in our lives have ended because we weren't being loved correctly or maybe not at all. Or maybe you are in a season where you are struggling to receive love because you aren't ready to trust again. For both of these situations, looking to God and understand who He is and what His love looks like... What His love feels like is the first step to trusting again Be vulnerable with Him. Be honest with Him about your fears, desires, dreams, needs.. Ask Him what He needs to you do. What step He needs you to take toward the plan that He has for your life.
A healthy relationship with God comes before a healthy relationship with others.

I don't even know what a healthy relationship feels like with a man. I mean I have heard about what it should look like but not experienced it so find it hard to relate too. That's probably one of my biggest obstacles and struggles. My pattern is I gravitate towards or attract men that are wrong for me, get emotionally attached too soon. Being an introvert and very sensitive to rejection, I find it difficult to bounce back when it keeps happening. I know it is my choice, accept and take accountability for my mistakes but it doesn't seem to change the outcome. So it is easier to be alone and not even try again. I do understand why alot of Women choose to stay single these days. I had no idea how much the dating scene had changed since early 2000s, honestly it's not enjoyable at all. I want to time warp back to the oldschool ways of real phone call conversation and in person interactions. Anyways, I have decided not to date so it's kind of a mute point.
