1 Samuel 16:7 talks about how we as humans can look at the wrong things like someones physical traits or status but God looks at the heart. The intent or motive. The root of where all things grow. (example: greed, envy, lust vs Faith, surrender, guidance) We should strive to do the same, not only with others, but with ourselves. What is our motive or intent with our prayer? James 4:3 says "you ask and don't receive bc you ask with the wrong motives so that you may spend it on your pleasures."

Have you ever asked yourself "How did I not see that?" Ephesians 1:7-10 can easily be turned into a daily prayer so that you are able to receive the God's wisdom. Note: A prayer is not a test to God... He knows the posture of your heart when you come to Him. (Deuteronomy 6:16)

Romans 7:14-23 talks about this exact thing! What is your habit that you want to break but struggle to do so bc your thoughts or your body wants different? Eating differently? Physical boundaries while dating? limiting time on social media? doom scrolling?

Romans 11:33 says that His ways are untraceable. So what if what you are viewing as a roadblock is Him gently guiding you from "your dream" or "your plan" to His plan for your life? What if He is trying to get you to surrender your dream so that you can experience something bigger and greater? "How do I know if it's greater?" You don't. That is the scariest but greatest thing about faith. Full Faith. It requires confidence in God, not yourself.
