Europe's top bike producer? (Portugal Quiz, Monday 25th September, 2023)
Portugal was Europe’s largest bicycle producer in 2022, according to data released recently by Eurostat. The numbers tell us that Portugal was responsible for approximately 18% of total bicycle production in Europe, where Romania also form the leader pack, followed in volume by Italy, then Germany and Poland who all contribute impressively to the total of 14.7 million bicycles produced within the European bloc. How many bicyles did top makers Portugal produce in last year's table-topping effort?

'Try Something Portuguese'? What do you recommend or dare me to try?!
GMP!VIP PLEASE send me your suggestions for things to try LIVE on the Good Morning Portugal! show... I will be alternating this NEW FEATURE with the PORTUGAL QUIZ and would love your help and prompts about WHAT to try on the show - food, drink, experiences - YOUR imagination is the limit! I am happy to be your 'food taster', guinea pig and proxy in the front line of Portuguese life and culture, so please let me know what Portuguese 'something' you'd like me to try in the comments here or on YouTube 😋 Carl 'seemed like a good idea at the time' Munson

Possibly. Maybe some are delivered to Porto from Pastelaria Clarinha. Sorry to ruin your diet. Here is some info: These crescent-shaped pastries consist of a thin, flaky dough that is filled with a sweet combination of sugar, egg yolks, ground almonds, and chila (gila) squash. After baking, they are shortly dipped in syrup, which provides the tortas with a crisp, glossy coating. As the name suggests, the pastries were invented in Guimarães, and they were originally prepared by nuns from the convent of Santa Clara. Nowadays, they are one of the most recognizable Guimarães desserts.
