WHAT’S YOUR COACHING STYLE WHEN YOUR KID COMPETES?
My son is competing today, and it made me curious. Are you the calm parent who barely says anything? The technical coach calling out every detail? The loud motivational corner? Or are you more nervous than your kid and trying your best not to show it? 😂 If your kid competes, what’s your coaching style from the sidelines?

HOW DOES MISSING A CLASS AFFECT YOU?
Are you bummed out? Do you get FOMO thinking about the rounds you’re missing? Or do you make the most of the day by working on the other inputs you control, so you can come back stronger for the next one? When you miss a class, can you enjoy the time away, or does part of you still feel like you should be on the mats?

this is funny because i used to get FOMO for sure. I actually missed noon class just now because some of the provinces changing their Daylight savings screwed up our meeting time today
DOES BJJ TAKE ALL YOUR ENERGY?
What other forms of activity exist in your life outside of jiu-jitsu? Other sports? Strength training? Hiking or walking? Activities with the kids? Or does BJJ take everything you have and leave nothing for anything else? 😂 What else keeps you active outside of the mats?

is this directed at me?
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU TAKE A FULL WEEK OFF TRAINING?
Be honest. An injury? Getting sick? A competition? Family or work? Or would someone practically have to lock the gym doors? 😂 For a lot of us, taking a full week off feels harder than training through whatever is bothering us. What would actually have to happen for you to voluntarily take at least one full week away from the mats?

What Are You Studying Right Now?
For those of you who use online instructionals: Who do you prefer learning from, and why does their teaching style work for you more than someone else’s? And what are you currently studying: a specific position, move, escape, or entire system? Drop the instructor and what you’re working on below. I’m curious how everyone chooses who they learn from. 👇

how to make my top pressure (mount) worse and also finding new details in a couple of straight arm locks. Seems simple, and they are but it's always about the set up.
