Equifax agreed to a proposed $100 million settlement involving a 2022 coding error. The lawsuit alleges that approximately four million consumers had incorrect scores reported while applying for mortgages, auto loans or credit cards between March 17 and April 8, 2022. Scores were allegedly lowered by more than 20 points in some cases. Eligible consumers must submit a claim by December 28, 2026. Estimated payments currently range from approximately $95 to $280, but the final amount will depend on the number of valid claims I put mine in already https://www.equifaxfaircreditreportingsettlement.com/
