IG (FB) Ads Case Study
In line with Corey's PBCPro course, my IG growth thread, and @Michal Black suggesting targeting US friendly women in other countries, I'm launching an ad campaign for the next few days to see what the metrics really come out to be. In a nutshell: 5$ / day, targeting single women 21-35 in countries very amicable to american men (ie. phillipines, brazil, etc.). Pushing the image that i believe to be best on my profile. Planning to cut this off at the $20 dollar mark for a nice round number. Wish me luck :)

@Jacy Mac This is an old strat (check how old this post is), and I'm not entirely sure it works anymore. I had similar results with my initial ad run. I think you have to push a bit harder these days to convert likes to followers. It's not enough to publish cool photos. You've got to give them a reason to keep coming back. These days that's mostly done through informational and/or entertaining reels. You can also play with retargeting and creative dynamic ads. One other thing to note: the consensus among ad managers is that IG takes a while to figure out your content and who responds to it. From what I can gather (I'm not an expert here, so buyer beware), the dominant strat is to run a single campaign with multiple ad sets using creative dynamic ads. Budget needs to be a minimum of $5 per ad set, per day. After day 5, pick a winner, delete the rest, then throw your remaining budget at that ad for another 5 days or so.

One thing I've learned doing MoA is that Instagram and Facebook are janky af under heavy load. The ads manager especially takes a long time to update. I usually make my IG post, doing something else for five to ten minutes, then come back and refresh ads manager. By that time, my post is usually up and ready.
Are you using a VA?
Quick questions for the one using a VA to manage thei IG. I need some help with my IG, just basic operations like sending messages, following, ecc... Are you giving your main access to a VA? In this case, has instagram ever bothered you about being connected form 2 different sides of the world at the same time? I was thinking to login on IG from my remote desktop (something I use for work, creating a user just for this), and give him access to the virtual machine (something I can revoke in a few minutes). This way we would both access from the same IP, but it would be a datacenter IP, that might be even worse on IG eyes. Third option would be to get an old computer and keep it at home, give the VA remote access (like teamviewer or any other RDP). This is the most annoying to setup, but would allow me to have a VA on the same IP as me, and from residential IP. What are you guys doing? Have you had any problems with your current setup?

@Joe Bigelli Can you tell me about how you use ManyChat and Cold DMs? I was just about to hire a VA when I saw this thread. I'd be interested to learn more.
DM Invites
I've been inviting girls to an event 20-30 per day and I noticed that the first 2-3 days I was getting replies, but then after that the next 3 days I wasn't getting any replies. Does Instagram shadow block you or mark your DMs as spam after a couple of days of DMing the same invite/message? This is what I feel is happening 😅 Like IG suddenly put all my DMs in spam.

@Eric Klinefelter Yeah, this one is critical. The program loses a lot of its steam if invites stop working. It's the one thing that pisses me off most about IG. How social is "social media" if it actively works against you meeting people in person?

@Hrithik Sangani Thanks for the quick response. I kept feeling like I was missing something and that I needed to get through this step quickly, but now I'm understanding that (for some of us at leastt) this may be the bulk of the program. I think the hard part for me will be that I have real success on the apps, so it's hard to pull myself away from pushing the easy button. I'm hoping this can be the program to take me from 7/8 (out of ten) to a 9 or 10.

@Hrithik Sangani Yeah. I do well there. Only really do Bumble and Hinge. But I'm usually sitting at 50-100+ likes on each at any given time. Just got came off a date with an attractive woman in her 20s (I'm 44) that I matched with a couple days back. But it's a drain. I'm spending around $50/date. I can afford it, but it definitely feels like a poor use of time an energy. For what I've spent on dating this year, I probably could have paid for several weeks-long trips to overseas destinations. So I'm just looking for a different approach. I feel like if I can get my IG to where some of these top guys are, my social skills are good enough to where I can just get the right women coming to me versus me having to go out and spend so much money and energy on the dating piece. Or at can at least learn how to amplify what I'm doing here so that it's more time and energy efficient. Edit: grammar.
