Yesterday I did a sprint session. Today is LSD 75 minutes. It’s getting warm again. I’m using the Garmin adaptive training plan to finish a half marathon on Aug 16, and then Sept 27 another half. I’ll pick a time goal for that one. Then I’d do a fat loss cut in the off-season and continue building my base up. I’m listening to my body and picking workouts from the plan that suit me on that day. That’s what I’ve learned from injury. Listening to the body is the lost important thing to prevent injury. I’m coming back to long distance after taking a break for 5K/10K training. I had plantar fasciitis last year, so that’s almost at 100. My last live half was May 2019. Virtual May 2023. Last full was May 2022. Things are going quite well. I’m doing 2 threshold workouts a week. 1 intervals and 1 continuous. Plus 1 sprint session. Long run and then easy or recovery runs the other days. I’ve been run streaking since Sept 8, 2022 through it all.
