Week 1- Day 1
Welcome to Week 1, Ladies! Morning Gratitude: Before you scroll, take 10 seconds: Name ONE small moment from this weekend that made you smile or laugh. Write it down in your journal. ( Could be tiny… the story that your child shared with you, the joke that you shared with a friend or family member….) This week you're learning ONE skill that changes everything: THE 30-SECOND WAIT Before you help, you wait. Three deep breaths. Count to 30. Then say: "You've got this. I'll check back in a minute." Then you step away. Your presence = temptation to rescue. Their brain needs space to shift from "help me" to "let me try." Your Week 1 Practice: Pick 2-3 daily moments (homework, getting dressed, problem-solving) and practice the 30-second wait instead of jumping in. Today's challenge: Notice when you feel the rescue urge. That's it. Just notice. What's one moment where you caught yourself wanting to jump in?

Earlier today my 9yr old son wanted me to help him open a bottle of water. I gave him a paper towel and told him to try opening it first and if he was still struggling I would help.. I let him struggle for a few minutes, then I put my hand on top of his and showed him a better way to open it.. he later on tried another bottle and got it by himself
