Most people know Green Day as one of the biggest punk rock bands of the 1990s, but this acoustic song showed a completely different side of the band and went on to become one of their most popular recordings. It's a great song for fingerstyle guitar. The melody sits nicely under the fingers, the chord progression flows beautifully and it has that timeless acoustic feel that makes it enjoyable to play again and again.
