Question for people training for a marathon
What worries you most? - Hitting the wall - Injuries - Finding enough time to train - Race-day nerves - Something else Let’s talk about it.
For me, the biggest challenge is balancing training with work and daily life. Finding enough time to fit in quality sessions while staying consistent isn’t always easy. At the same time, managing training volume and recovery is just as important. I combine running with strength training, so making sure I recover well enough to perform and stay healthy is probably my biggest focus.
@John Hill I'm currently training for a 50K ultra on July 5th here in Brasília, the capital of Brasil. It's an asphalt race called Volta do Lago. Right now my main focus is balancing mileage, recovery, and strength training to arrive in good shape.

Hello! Welcome to the community. We are delighted to have you here. Please share your running highs and lows, I would love to hear more about you.
My name is Valnei, I’m from Brazil and I’ve been running for about 4 and a half years now. I train consistently alongside strength training, and over the years I’ve built a strong endurance base. Recently, I’ve been focusing on improving my pace and speed through progressive runs, interval sessions, and long runs. I usually run 4 times a week and have completed races ranging from 10K to ultramarathon distances. My next big challenge is a 50K ultra on asphalt, with some elevation. Thankfully, I’ve never had any injuries so far, and I’m aiming to keep progressing while staying healthy.
