💸🌿 Introducing Our New Weekly Series: Wellness on a Budget 🌿💸
DIY swaps that save money and reduce toxic exposure. Starting January 2nd, 2026. As we head into a brand new year, it felt like the perfect time to introduce something practical, empowering, and genuinely helpful. Let’s be honest; 2025 was a rough financial year for a lot of people. Groceries cost more. Household basics cost more. Health products cost more. And most of us are feeling it. The way we see it, we all need better ways to save money while still protecting and improving our health. That’s exactly what this new series is designed to do. Starting January 2nd, 2026, the Weekly Wellness on a Budget Series will focus on simple, realistic DIY swaps that help you: • Spend less on everyday products • Reduce unnecessary chemical and toxin exposure • Take more control over your health without overcomplicating things Each week, we’ll take a commonly purchased product, explain why it may not be serving your health or your wallet, and show you a clean DIY alternative that costs less over time. Household products, personal care, beauty, OTC and more will all be covered. DIY doesn’t have to be hard. Wellness doesn’t have to be expensive. And saving money shouldn’t mean sacrificing your health. This series is about moving into the new year smarter, more informed, and more empowered. I’m really excited to start this with you! Yours in holistic wellness, John

⛰️ Homemade Spaghetti That Stole the Show on the Appalachian Trail at 1263 Feet 🏔️
A few years ago my daughter and I joined her school for a ten mile hike on the Appalachian Trail. When we finally stopped for lunch, all the kids pulled out the usual… Wonder Bread sandwiches. Bright white bread, preservatives, processed cheese, seed oils, the whole toxic parade. But what did we eat? Before the trip, we freeze dried our leftover spaghetti and meatballs at home with our Harvest Right Freeze Dryer. We tossed the lightweight mylar pouch in our bag and off we went! There we sat, 1263 feet of elevation, enjoying an actual homemade meal on the side of the trail. And let me tell you… we drew some attention. Everyone wanted to know what we were eating. A hot, hearty, nutrient rich homemade meal. Everyone else was eating fluff. We were eating dinner, and it tasted just as fresh and homemade as the day we made it. And the best part? We had also freeze dried some ice cream and shared it around. Freeze dried ice cream may not be the healthiest choice with all that sugar, but it is one delicious treat, and the kids went crazy for it. 🍝 Quick food does not have to mean junk food Usually, quick convenient food in today’s world usually means a chemical feast with very little nutrition. Freeze drying flips that completely. With a Freeze Dryer, I say it all the time..... "Convenience finally meets health!" It preserves up to 97 percent of the nutrients, and keeps the taste, color, and texture of real food. Nothing else comes close. Not dehydrating, not canning, not freezing. All other methods lose at least 40% of their nutrients. For a long time, only the pharmaceutical industry and government had freeze drying technology. It's how they can keep probiotic strains live and how the military made their MRE meals. This is why I always joke that I love my Harvest Right Freeze Dryer more than my kids. Just kidding…But it is definitely in the top three. 🌿 Health and convenience together — finally With a Harvest Right Freeze Dryer, you can:

[NEWS] Fast Fact: Bill Gates' ORGANIC version of Apeel - Organipeel - is registered as a pesticide with the EPA and a fungicide with OMRI
Both products are put on fruits and vegetables. - including organic - to extend the shelf-life of the produce, with Organipeel described as an organic-certified version of Apeel that can be put directly on organic produce. However the EPA has issued a warning about consuming the product saying, "Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with eyes or clothing. Wear safety glasses when handling. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling and before eating, drinking, chewing gum, using tobacco, or using the toilet." . Apeel markets Organipeel as a "coating" ( in FDA GRAS applications), but registered it as a "fungicide" with the EPA and OMRI to bypass stricter organic rules for coatings. Under USDA regulations, coatings require separate approval, and mono- and diglycerides (found in Apeel's non-organic version) are banned as coatings but allowed in limited uses like drum drying. Organipeel does not contain mono- and diglycerides, but there are reports that it contains potential residues such as trace heavy metals like arsenic, lead, cadmium, or palladium from manufacturing Organipeel is registered with the EPA as a fungicide. 99.34% of its ingredients are not publicly listed. It was approved by EPA in 2019 Organipeel is also listed as a fungicide with the OMRI. OMRI also approved it in 2019 . OMRI reviewed the full "other ingredients" but again the ingredients are not listed publicly Previous report on Apeel. - Bill Gates Apeel coating product is approved to be used on Organic Foods It contains Mono- and Diglycerides and the manufacturing process for appeal may involve solvents like ethyl acetate and heptane, and trace heavy metals However, it was approved to be used in organic foods even though it contains mono- and diglycerides which are explicitly banned to be used on organic foods by the USDA “Regulators approved Appeel as a fungicide, not a coating. A technical loophole that slides it under organic certification rules." "So while you think you're buying clean, untouched food, you're actually getting produce treated with compounds that critics warn may leave behind residues like arsenic, lead, cadmium, and palladium.”
