Trump and Reps, SEC and CFTC all pushing for crypto. Long term update
SEC and CFTC are working together nicely, which is great and put a framework together for some crypto regulations, since the US is very far behind other countries, this is very much welcomed. There was a crypto summit at the Whitehouse yesterday. MSTR is holding well above key resistance at 105, lets see how we close the week. We can move quickly to 130-150. We will see if this holds up, I think it will for a bit. I will most likely be selling some shares of MSTX tomorrow at 9 and 9.5 if we close above that. There is an official vote scheduled for Clarity Act on Sept. 15th at 2 PM. I don't think it will pass, but I think anybody against crypto will not get voted in. That vote will force people to vote one way or the other. My long term account is up 19.2%, but I don't care about that just yet, still building. I only put in about $600 of that from my paychecks everything else is from trading gains and growth. 8 shares of MSTR 58 shares of BMNR (soon when time and price are right I will be able to sell covered calls for more income, once I hit 100 shares) 17 shares of HIMS Not too shabby for starting this 5 weeks ago. Keep stacking

@Joey Shaw Really solid progress in just 5 weeks. I like the way you’re focused on building the long term account instead of getting caught up in the current gains.

@Joey Shaw The MSTR level is definitely one to watch, and the Clarity Act vote could be interesting for the whole crypto market.
Watch from 8:10 on. Second BMRN almost at 5% of the ETH network
There is a person that asked a question that doesn't understand the short term decisions of the company. The person said they have a 10 year outlook on the company, but isn't happy with the price moving in the other direction... They also don't understand the companies decisions currently. It is very important that you understand the assets that you hold. If you start to lose conviction just because the price is down or maybe management did something you don't understand. Did you really have conviction in the first place? He also so mention that Bitcoin/share doesn't do anything for his kids, who he bought the stock for, doesn't make much sense. Bitcoin is the strategy... This person is letting their emotions win, don't do that. Logic, thesis, management and numbers lets those make the decision not your feelings. Michael Saylor did a nice job addressing the question. BMNR's target ETH goal from the beginning was 5% and they thought it would take them 5 years to achieve it. It has only been about a year and a half since they IPO'd.

Great, insight, I especially agree about sticking to the thesis instead of letting short-term price movements drive decisions.

@Joey Shaw sent you a DM as well looking forward to your response..
I sold Bitcoin????????
I forgot to post in here. I sold about $74,400 and I bought back at $73,000. This was done under my cost basis so that means I didn't have any capital gains for taxes and I bought 2% more bitcoin than I sold. WIN WIN Why did I sell if I have so much conviction in Bitcoin? Because sometimes sentiment and charts tell you a different short term story. I only sold what I was comfortable selling, just incase the move didn't work as planned. This was investing mixed with short term trading

Too many people think investing is only buy and hold no matter what, but knowing when to protect profits, manage risk, and improve your position is part of it too.

@Joey Shaw Yes, Most people don’t get this. You can be bullish long term and still make smart short term moves.

"This is impressive! Seeing a bank backed stablecoin in action is really promising. Excited to watch how this develops over time.
Sold covered calls on BMNR
I sold three covered calls at the $25 strike price expiring June 18. I collected $90 in premium And there is a pretty solid resistance level around 23 $24 I plan to buy these back once I realize 50% premium, or hold the contracts closer to expiration if it doesn’t look like I’m going to lose my shares. I’ll plan to roll if price action goes the opposite direction I want to, so I can keep the ownership of my shares.

Nice strategy, especially with the resistance levels you identified around that range. I like the disciplined approach on managing the premium and protecting the shares long term instead of forcing short term moves.
