Hi Batool, Thanks for putting this together. I’m excited to start and had a few questions. For the magnesium baths, is there a brand you recommend, or is any good quality magnesium fine? Same for chamomile and lavender oil, do you have any favorites? My son has that “wired but tired” pattern you described. We do a calm bedtime routine, he settles in bed peacefully, and then a few minutes later he gets a certain burst of energy and cannot settle. He starts jumping, running, pacing, doing erratic things, and this can go on for 30 to 45 minutes before he finally falls asleep. Since he is calm first and then this suddenly kicks in, I wanted to ask if that sounds like the same wired but tired pattern you mean. As I’m going through the glutamate list, it got me thinking. We eat pretty clean overall, but one big thing I do use often in our meals is bouillon, and I know that can be a source of MSG. I use other seasonings too, but bouillon is the one thing I have not found a good replacement for. Do you have any alternatives you like that give that same depth of flavor? Also, my son is in an ABA center Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and candy is used as a reinforcer throughout the day. I had switched those reinforcers to what I thought were cleaner options, for example “Yum Earth,” but after seeing your list, now I’m even second guessing those natural flavors and wondering if they could be triggers. Part of the challenge is that his interests are extremely narrow and he is still working on engaging with toys and other motivators, so candy has been one of the few reinforcers that consistently works for him. I actually just met with his team on Thursday and we are brainstorming alternatives and ways to reduce this, though attempts in the past have been hard. What makes it difficult is not knowing how to track exposures, since I do not know the quantity or timing of what he gets during the day, and by the time he gets home I’m only seeing the end result. I’d love any thoughts on how you’d approach that.

@Batool Mirza Did you drop day 3 yet?
Welcome Mamas ! Introduce yourself here
Hi All, Welcome to this space ! I have been wanting to spend time and hang out with you guys more. I realize our time in consult calls is limited. Leaving plenty of questions for you, and a need for support. Thats how I came to the realization for a need for this community. And also a place for me to centralize resources for you. So instead of sending it to each one of you, there can now become a reference portal with a support system built in for you. How do you like the sound of that ? :) Take a second to introduce yourself to others (just drop a few lines below) ! and share with me what are the main challenges you are dealing with, so I can keep that in mind when building resources/content for you guys !

Hi everyone, I’m Ursula. I have two boys, and I’m here mainly for my son. I’ve been trying to understand the root cause of some of his behaviors like hyperactivity, sensory seeking, and picky eating. Looking forward to learning and connecting with other moms here.
