Closing this Community
Hey again! Apparently, I can not have a free community on Circle. I thought that since I had our Resilient By Design program on there that it would allow me to have the second community for free, but I misread that! I am sorry, but I can no longer sustain this free community anymore... If you are looking to connect with other landowners who are setting out to design and build their own homes, you may be a good fit for the Resilient By Design Program! If you want to build a resilient home and legacy property, please email me for more information at [email protected] I would love to support you on your journey and have you a part of our community inside Resilient By Design 😊 I will be closing this down in just a couple of days, so be sure to grab any contacts from the group if you wish in the member's space, so you can stay in touch with each other!!

I had the thought of two possibilities for other platforms to move this community to which I think are free (though that may have changed since I last checked). Discord allows communities to create a server with memberships, chats, forums, etc. Most things can be done with a free account, with more features available with paid 'nitro' account. I've never been inclined to pay for it and have seen many communities use it in a variety of ways (not just for gaming, but that is a big part of their user group) Mighty Networks is another one that I've seen a lot of communities migrating to, which is a platform designed for communities to create a virtual hub for themselves. I don't know too much about setting one up (or if/how much it costs), but it seems like a great fit for this type of community. My two cents before this one closes down 🪙🪙
3D printed earthen homes!?
Has anyone else come across this 3D-printed earthen home using technology out of Italy? It looks like an incredible and affordable way to merge cutting-edge 3D printing with age-old natural building materials. The potential for sustainable, low-impact housing seems huge! Would love to hear any thoughts or experiences with this tech or similar like ICON. https://www.3dwasp.com/en/3d-printer-house-crane-wasp/

Here's Ron's website for his 3d print stuff and a cool video of him describing it: https://emergingobjects.com/ https://youtu.be/ScZ49TRcj7E https://ced.berkeley.edu/people/ronald-rael Worth mentioning too, Geoship is doing something similar, but not quite 3d printing, as their process of creating the panels is different, but still an age old natural building material combined with new technologies. https://www.geoship.is/
