Long drive in pain
Hi, everyone. I have had a very rough few days in pain. Unfortunately, I live in pain every day of my life since 2021. One day I am still due a total knee replacement surgery when the cartilage is completely gone. My bones broke above and below my knee, but it was an open femur fracture and it ripped through muscle, cartilage and ligaments. The cartilage all around me knee was damaged. My left leg is a monster to me. My sacrum fractured on both sides and it gives me pressure pain and it took a giant leap forward in pain this year. My right foot is normally the first to know when rain is coming and I can barely stand on it 30 seconds before it starts to collapse on me. I will have to get it fused one day when the pain is too much. Today's been really bad, too. My Dad is driving me to see my Orthopedic surgeon in Tulsa tomorrow to get a steroid shot in my knee. I have had this shot, pretty much, every 3 months since April 3rd, 2021. This time I haven't had a steroid shot since, maybe January. I usually get relief almost instantly when I get this. Unlike my mean old foot. We are about 2 hours from Tulsa & people drive crazy. Can anyone who sees this pray for my Dad and myself to have a safe, uneventful drive. And can anyone please pray for my mom and I's relief from pain? Thank you- Jen

Encouragement
Hey everyone Last nights meeting was so good! Afterwards I went for a walk and just talked to God! Something that clicked in my spirit personally is every time I give in to my flesh, I further delay what God wants to do in my life! Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us that He has good plans to give us a hope and a future! He never asks us to give up anything that He doesn’t have something better in store for us! The cross we pick up and carry here is but a short time compared to the eternity ahead and it’s worth it! Love you all and pray a wonderful week for each of you!

Amen!!! This is where it’s at! It’s so easy to hold what we have, but in our holding, we end up putting ourselves in worse situations and we’re endangering our faith. I think of the book of Hebrews and how it was by faith that Abraham received. All Abraham did was keep going. When we let our baggage go (whatever that thing may be: sin, permissible things but not good things) and walk, we can be prepared to receive what God has for us! Thank you for sharing!!
A little piece of what God has done for me
The accident that disabled me put me in a wheelchair, I had about 29 fractures from head to toe. My femur splintered above my left knee, the 2 bones below my left knee fractured, the cartilage, muscle, ligaments were torn through. My right foot was crushed and dislocated, my sacrum was fractured, alot of fractured ribs, fractured sternum, c2 vertebrae in my neck was broken, and my skull was fractured. My parents were told that my brain rattled around in my skull. Nerves were damaged in my face. After a very bad night of pain my face and eye went through a very noticeable change and a stroke alert was called. I had a pneumothorax and several liver lacerations, and 1 on my pancreas. After testing, it turns out that I didn't have a stroke, I had a pseudo aneurysm on my left carotid that could become a full aneurysm if left untreated. I did have right sided facial weakness and my eyelid wouldn't stay closed even when it was taped shut, and I had double vision because my eye was stuck looking sharply towards my nose. I had blood come out of both ears and I still have ringing in my right ear. I threw up blood in the ER. It took 45 minutes to cut me out of my car and I had to be life flighted to the nearest city that had a trauma 1 hospital. After being stabilized there, after 4 days I was transferred to St Francis in Tulsa because I had to have a very intensive surgery done to my left leg and that was the nearest place that had a surgeon that could do it. It's all a very long story and I have it written down, but not typed yet. I may put it out for anyone who wants to read it in the future, but I have a testimony where Jesus kept showing up for me and my parents. From 1 hospital to another and finally to a rehab hospital, it was about 5 weeks. The accident happened the day before Easter in 2021. Everywhere I went people looked at me in amazement. From the highway patrol officer telling my Dad on the scene that when you see a car like that, the person is usually already dead or they die just as the get to the hospital. Then all the doctors and surgeons and nurses and specialists and the rehab specialists. No one had ever seen someone hurt as badly as me live. And no one had seen someone do some of the healing I did without surgical intervention. I can tell you that it was definitely God. When the driver crossed the center line and hit me, I was on the phone with my Dad and he was there in 10 minutes. He started calling people and my Stepmom got on social media and had people start praying for me, immediately. All through that first year, the procedures, 2 more surgeries on my femur, getting my eye stitched shut and more; people kept praying and God kept showing up. He's an amazing God and I want to be with Him.

Jen, I love this. This is so miraculous! I’m glad you’re still here and I believe with an experience like that, which is still on going, God wants you here! There’s so much empowerment in this testimony. You’ve experience God as a keeper and a restorer and I am confident in this: God will use your testimony to reach those who feel purposeless. After reading what God has done for you and what He is yet to do, I’m amazed. Not only will people be amazed, but others who may feel like God doesn’t want anything to do with them, they’ll look at your story and receive hope that God sees, cares, empathizes, and wants to journey with them. I feel honored to share this community space with you! God bless you!
