🧠 Why Slumps Don’t Define You — How Francisco Lindor Handles 0-for-30 🧠
I had the privilege of playing against some of the best in the game—and one of the most talented dudes I ever faced was Francisco Lindor. He’s elite in every way. Tools, instincts, flair, defense, power, you name it. And yet… even he goes through slumps. Right now, he’s 0-for-30. That’s brutal for anyone. But what separates Lindor isn’t just his talent—it’s how he carries himself when things aren’t going well. He’s not pouting. He’s not moping. He’s not making excuses or seeking sympathy. He’s showing up. Competing. Keeping his same routine. Still believing—100%—that he’s the best player on the field. That’s what being a pro looks like. Every hitter—bad, average, or great—goes through it. Hell, I once went 0-for-32 in my career. But those stretches didn’t break me. And they won’t break you either—unless you let them. Here’s what I want you to remember: - Slumps are temporary. Your mindset doesn’t have to be. - Don’t panic. Don’t chase. Don’t change everything. - Keep stacking good at-bats. - Stay committed to your process—even when the scoreboard says otherwise. - Most importantly, never stop believing in yourself. Because your belief—especially during the tough stretches—is what keeps you in the fight. If you’re in a slump, don’t isolate. Post your swing. Ask questions. Lean on the group. That’s what this community is here for.
