Record yourself answering this — then name who hears it.
Most capital raisers rehearse the deal in their head a hundred times. They never rehearse the first thirty seconds of the relationship. When someone asks what you're working on, do you shrink, over-explain, or lead with curiosity? Here's the assignment. Not complicated. Uncomfortable. Open your phone. Record one take — sixty seconds max — answering this out loud: "What are you most excited about right now?" Say it as the declared version of you. Not the cleaned-up pitch. Not the resume. The real answer. Then name the person you'll have that conversation with before Tuesday. Warm contact. Drop their first name below after you hit record. You build the muscle first. Then you scale the stage.

What gets your full attention this weekend — and what gets none?
Weekend is where most people leak identity. They protect the calendar Monday through Friday. Then Saturday and Sunday turn into drift — scroll, catch-up, "I'll start Monday." That's not rest. That's the lid sliding back on. **Identity is not installed in a moment. It is reinforced in the daily decisions.** Weekend decisions count. So name it. One thing that gets your full attention this weekend. One thing that gets none — on purpose. Not ten. Not a whole plan. Two clear choices. Drop both below. Then vote. (Quick note: the iMRaiseReady™ Mobile private beta still has seats — about 20 testers needed. Comment BETA if you want in.)

Coffee's on tomorrow. Who's showing up?
Thursday night. The week is almost in the books. Easy to coast into Friday and call it done. We don't do that here. Tomorrow morning — The YM² Weekly Bean Scene. Friday, Oct 2, 9:00–9:30am ET. Coffee. Conversation. No agenda. No pitch. Just the room. One live conversation beats ten posts you scroll past. You build the muscle first. Then you scale the stage. So here's your assignment before you sleep: 1. Put Bean Scene on your calendar for 9:00am ET. 2. Show up with one thing you're working on — a coffee chat you're avoiding, a story you haven't named, or a relationship you want to deepen. Not a pitch. A real problem. Drop a "I'm in" in the comments. Hold yourself to it.

I'm in.
Write the identity. Then take one action as that person.
Most of us try to act our way into a new identity. That's backwards. Identity first. Action second. In Applied Identity Economics™, the declared version of you is the one who already belongs in the room — not the old story that keeps you on the sidelines. Stop trying to be someone else's version of impressive. Your natural style is not a lesser form of authority. It is a specific, potent form of it. Assignment today: Write one Identity Statement in present tense: "I am a [role] who [what you bring]." Not the cleaned-up version. The one that makes your chest tighten a little. Then take one congruent action as that person before the day ends. One. Not ten. Drop your statement below. Hold yourself to the action.

Who got value from you before you asked for anything?
Wednesday night. Midweek. Easy to slip into ask-mode — more outreach, more follow-ups, more "checking in." Here's the reframe: Leaders touch a heart before they ask for a hand. Results are a byproduct of relationships. And relationships compound when you give first — not when you pitch. So before the week closes, one pass/fail move: Name one person in your world. Warm contact. Send them something useful with zero ask attached — an intro, a resource, a genuine note that says you see what they're building. Not a soft pitch. Real value. Walk away having given more than you took. That's the whole assignment. Drop their first name in the comments. Hold yourself to it.

The name is Jordan Meadows, he and his wife are considering moving to Charlotte, NC. My sister and her kids live there so I'm sending info that Jordan and his wife, as parents, may find useful.
