I received the infrared thermometer and have used it a few times. If I gauge it against my water kettle, it appears to be about 7 degrees lower than the setting I put on my kettle. My son in law used it to make eggnog and it appeared to work, at least close enough to temperature, that it came out right. I did not get the digital probe.
