- Beach or pool? Both, or neither, depending on my mood. - Barefoot. Even in winter. I hate shoes, but socks are worse. - Watermelon. Pineapple tastes like licking sunscreen. - Popsicles or ice cream? If you have a Walgreens near you, see if they have Oreo ice cream. It's a favorite at our house! - Fireworks or bonfire? Watching from inside, away from the mosquitoes. - Lemonade, especially pink lemonade. - S’mores or skip the mess? I'm an interesting one on this - I like s'mores, but in pieces. I'll eat roasted marshmallows, and graham crackers, and chocolate...but not all in one bite.

Have you ever just wanted to pause the world for a minute? Not escape it, necessarily. Just... stop the clock long enough to catch your breath. Catch up. Rest. Play. Be creative. Without EVERYTHING ELSE piling up while you do. I'm in the middle of a good book right now (The Astral Library by Kate Quinn), and there's a room in it where time stands still. You walk in, spend as long as you need, and when you walk out, everything is exactly as you left it. One of the characters uses it to work in - he brings his workload for the day, takes however long he wants, and then walks out and it's still bright and early in the morning and he goes and sells everything he just finished working on. Nobody waiting. No catching up required. It has piqued my interest, to say the least! 👉 What would you do if you had access to that room? Would you.... - sleep? - catch up on your watch/reading list? - learn a new skill? - work through your to-do list? - sit still and take a moment to breathe? - all of the above? 😜 Tell me! Let your imagination go - what would you do? Rest, work, create, or something else entirely? Drop it below!

I'll have to look into that book! I didn't even know it was a thing, but I've frequently wished for everything to just HOLD ON A SEC while I get on top of things. I describe it like being a cartoon elephant on a circus ball. I'm often scrambling and flailing, trying to stay on top of the ball, but all too often, the ball is on top of me. I'd use that time to get to a pausing spot (whatever that looks like for the moment) with my to-do list (most of them business-related). If I could just feel on top of my digital products, lead magnets, site optimization, product research, and personal education, then I could justify taking time to do things like read...or watch a movie...or take a day off once in a while. But if the list is hanging over my head, unless things are *really* bad, I can't relax even if I take some time for myself.

@Olivia Radcliffe Sort of a la "Midnight Library," but with a different character arc? I haven't read ML, but it's on my shelf, staring at me intently as we speak.

- Android - Type. Voice-to-text makes me self-conscious. - Emoji. Sometimes I say things that could have a confusing tone, so I use emojis to show what my face would (or should) be doing so the other person knows how to react. Kinda like I do here. 🙃 - Individual texts. It used to drive people nuts when I would reply to them individually. But seriously, no one wants to keep getting notifications because you and the **person you live with** are having a conversation about the amazing dinner you had last night. - No calls. Only texts. If you call, it better be an emergency.
🥕 Carrot or 🥢 stick — which one actually gets you moving?
There are two kinds of motivators in this world: 🥕 The carrot people — they're chasing the reward. The income goal, the dream client, the feeling of finally launching that thing. The what's possible is what lights them up and gets them off the couch. 🥢 The stick people — they need a little pressure. A deadline, a consequence, a "I told people I was doing this and now I actually have to." The avoiding the ouch is what activates them. Neither one is wrong! I'll go first — I'm a carrot person with a stick backup plan. 😂 I can feel the vision all day long... and then also sign up for something public so there's an actual deadline. But anymore, I just find deadlines stressful and avoid them as much as possible. Drop yours below 👇 🥕 Carrot — the reward pulls me forward 🥢 Stick — the consequence pushes me forward 🤷 Both / It depends (And if you want to say why, I'm here for it — this stuff tells you so much about how to set up your systems and goals in a way that actually works for your brain.)

Carrot, for sure! Deadlines stress me out, so I usually overachieve and get things done way ahead of time. That doesn't mean I never procrastinate, but I'm usually pretty good about figuring out when I need to give myself some more time and when I need to give myself a kick in the to-do list.
FriYAY! A little this or that... Spring Edition

- Spring cleaning - Plastic eggs all the way - Sugar?? 🤤🤤🤤 - Deviled eggs? We skip those. - Meh. I'll be hiding from the pollen inside with my book. - No one wants Tori to drink coffee. Trust me. It's better this way. 🤪 - Spring break trip or staycation? Either. It's more about a balance for me.
