SEWING = FABRIC OBESSIONS🤩 But should it? When I started sewing I was obsessed with buying fabric. I would go to discount fabric stores and leave with enormous bags full of any fabric I could find... What a HUGE MISTAKE 🙄 Almost ten years down the line and I am STILL stuck with pieces of fabric I would never buy today. I made two mistakes: 1. Not understanding that there are different kinds of fabric and how they are used when sewing 2. For this project you will need: - non-stretchy fabric (called woven fabric) that isn't too thick i.e "medium weight" - think of Pajama bottoms when choosing the fabric: does this feel like something kind-of sturdy but not as thick as jeans? And not as thin as silky pyjamas? - an old sheet is a great start! - Fabric suggestions: flannel , cotton , chambray

Yesterday evening I decided to sew these pencil pouches just to complete my day and feed my soul. I picked it from my cut and store container. The one zipper pull is on the wrong end. I always make such stupid mistakes.

I couldn’t sleep last night, that Cape Town rain was a shocker, and to my surprise, the device cover I’ve been wanting to sew for over two years finally popped up on the app. I was so excited I even skipped church just to make this lol This was just a trial with scrap fabric, but once I add the batting and finish the real one, I’ll be back to show it off. Also, seriously, three young kids, pregnant with a fourth, and still posting tutorials and rocking that perfect nail in every video? Where do you even find the time for us?
