Song I worked on: Horse With No Name Time practiced: 1 hour Win of the day: Found horse chord easier to play clean with guitar over right leg than in the classical position. What felt hardest: I still have to pick the horse chord cleaner. Tracker link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FWssVVKb00tIUYcGQA29kfMCiuAp4hEI-LPsPxNCLjo/edit?usp=sharing

Song I worked on: Horse With No Name Time practiced: 45 minutes Win of the day: Horse chord is coming together (up until I start thinking about it, then I fumble). What felt hardest: I still have trouble controlling my pick, it moves around a lot in my grip. Wondering if someone can point me in the right direction
I want to learn how to play Lead Me Home by Jamey Johnson because it's one of my dad's favorite songs. In the live version, he plays by hyrbid picking. I'm wondering if hybrid pick has standard patterns like finger picking where you pluck the root note and then play a pattern with the remaining string of the chord. I can't really tell what he's doing in the video. I've tried but I'm not really sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here's the video for context: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GNrfPrfMXE&list=RD6GNrfPrfMXE&start_radio=1&pp=ygUfamFtZXkgam9obnNvbiBsZWFkIG1lIGhvbWUgbGl2ZaAHAQ%3D%3D

Justin Johnson has some lessons on getting started finger picking. The hardest part I'm guessing would be to not rush. With a little trial and error, some whiskey and cigarettes, I think you could make your own version. The song reminds me why I'll be buried in the cold, cold, sea, returning me back to the mermaids and the King.
Anybody else can't hear lyrics?
So I've always wondered if I was just weird. It is extremely difficult for me to hear lyrics. I immediately head for the drums and guitar 😆 Anyone else?

@Jake Yakes Sometimes I like country.
Intros
Who are you and what you do? I'm Tony, what I do? I challenge following any instructions. Where's the Intro tab? - How long have you been playing guitar? About a month if you don't count all the years I I played as a forever beginner. - What is your favorite song to listen to right now (or pick a few if you can't choose 1 🙃)? My favorite song is Andrea Van Cleef - Come Home. I keep it in my watch later and listen to it a lot. https://youtu.be/o-4sUqYTXf8?si=3HqqoLdiffPKpq1O
