🏋️ Fitness vs. Business: Why Is ONE So Much Easier?!
As a health coach, I often notice this odd irony: Business feels MUCH harder than fitness — to me. And yet, I’ve had so many successful business people tell me they feel the exact opposite! Here’s the thing: in the gym (and the kitchen), take the right actions consistently, and results are guaranteed. It’s predictable. Measurable. Momentum builds. However two things can get in your way — and they show up in business too: - You’re not 100% sure what the right actions are. - You get impatient, so you STOP:START or chase shiny quick-fix distractions. And that only slows things down. These are the 7 mindset + strategy shifts I coach my clients through in health — and remind myself of in business: ✅ 1. Focus on action-based goals. Yes, be clear on where you're headed — however measure success by what you DO, not just what you get. It makes progress visible and, every single day can be a win. ✅ 2. Track backwards, not just forwards. Zoom out. How far have you come? Often, what feels normal today would’ve been a huge win a year ago. If today wasn’t a win — what did you learn? ✅ 3. Seek empowering examples. Find someone with fewer advantages who’s still showing up. Not to compare or guilt-trip yourself — to get perspective and belief. ✅ 4. Study those ahead of you. What do they NEVER skip? What do they say NO to? What systems or rituals do they rely on? This is what I did early days in the gym and now I find it one of the most valuable parts of Skool. ✅ 5. Set the stage for success. Plan tomorrow today. Front-load your day with the task you most avoid. (Do the thing you’ll thank yourself for.) ✅ 6. Ask for help — early and often. Isolation slows everything down. You’re not meant to do it alone. My "to-work-on!" 😱 ✅ 7. Get accountability. Don’t rely on motivation to keep showing up. Create a reason to follow through — a coach, community, check-in, tracker or someone expecting you to do what you said you would. Accountability makes consistency easier. Whether it’s fitness or funnels, nutrition or newsletters — success is less about force, and more about clarity, consistency, and self-belief.

Yepp regarding predictability in fitness versus business. I started mapping out my daily tasks in Notion for long docs and Floment for simple project tracking so I stopped chasing random ideas. Having that clear separation really helped me stay consistent without burning out.

Staring down a massive software interface that feels like too much engine for daily work is exhausting. Pairing Loom for client messaging alongside Floment has kept my operational workflow clean. Having project cards, daily to dos, and community spaces in one straightforward workspace makes it simple to execute every day instead of spending hours configuring settings.
Creative old school or AI?
It’s such an interesting time to be living in the shift in processes, business, and creativity output happening. We’re seeing processes change and new workflows develop and at the same time we’re learning and cultivating new and different habits around how we do our work. Yesterday, I taught a Tracker and Planner workshop for @Clare Goodall's amazing community Etsy Digital Product Sellers community. And it's a conversation we continue to explore inside my communities for creatives, Creatives On The Go, and The After Party. Of course, in my workshop, I demo’d my journal and planner creation process in CANVA (I still love this tool). But, ALSO … of course, I showed my use of AI and how I meld them both into my workflow... bc we need it all now. In the course of daily creating, it's not uncommon to use many tools. I typically find myself moving from 2 or 3 AI tools and design tools. CANVA, DESCRIPT, CAMTASIA, CLAIDE, MidJOURNEY, NOTEBOOKLM… just to name a few. Do you find it as fascinating as me? Or maybe it’s just overwhelming and stress inducing? I truly believe we need to embrace this change and move with it. Even if it feels scary. It reminds me of when the internet became a thing. It was the Wild West. And look at that now. Yes, there are many issues that needed to be reined in with AI. THAT is an important topic at the same time, And/But, the fact is that the processes are shifting. What an interesting time to be experiencing life and work. Do you agree? I'm curious, how you are navigating this change in your process, workflow and output? What are some of your fav tools? You can check out my Planners & Tracker Workshop replay in Clare's Community. Comment below! Let's chat. 😁 Interestingly enough, I did not use AI to write this post. Go figure. haha!

Juggling half a dozen different apps just to organize a creative project used to drain all my energy before lunch. I started pairing Canva with Floment so my design assets stay connected directly to my daily task tracking and project cards. Flowie helps me pull quick summaries of my workflow without needing to open ten browser tabs at once. It made daily execution feel so much lighter.

Your Second Brain Is Here Most of us have experienced the same quiet frustration. A good idea arrives while driving, taking a walk, or lying awake in the middle of the night. It seems obvious, important, and worth remembering. By morning, much of it has disappeared. The idea itself may still be there, but the details, the connections, and the excitement that surrounded it have faded. Our memory has always wirked that way. Remarkable, yet imperfect. We remember stories while forgetting names. We recall emotions while overlooking facts. We connect seemingly unrelated experiences, yet sometimes struggle to remember where we left our keys. That is not a flaw. It is simply part of being human. For centuries we have created tools to extend our memory. We carved symbols into stone. We filled notebooks with observations. We built filing cabinets, libraries, databases, and computers. Each step allowed us to preserve more knowledge than our minds alone could comfortably hold. Artificial intelligence represents the next step in that progression. Not because it replaces memory. Because it complements it. This is why I often think of conversational A.I. as something resembling a second brain. The comparison is not perfect, nor should it be taken literally. Your biological brain remains the source of judgment, imagination, experience, empathy, and purpose. Artificial intelligence possesses none of those qualities. What it can do exceptionally well is remember, organize, compare, summarize, and reconnect information that might otherwise remain scattered across countless notes, documents, emails, and conversations. Think about how many unfinished ideas you have accumulated over the years. A notebook with half-developed concepts. A folder of articles you intended to write. Business plans waiting for another look. Course outlines. Research projects. Books you hoped to begin "when there is time." Most people are not short of ideas. They are short of continuity. Ideas become separated by weeks, months, or even years. Connections that once seemed obvious disappear beneath the demands of everyday life.

Losing momentum on great ideas usually happens when there is no clear system to turn scattered notes into daily action. I store my raw concepts and reference documents in Google Drive and then organize active execution inside Floment using project cards. Having built in task tracking alongside Flowie AI in the same workspace makes it simple to reconnect with past ideas and keep daily progress moving forward. Bridging the gap between raw thoughts and structured build steps is what actually keeps projects alive.
