To Pocket Hole... or Not?
I know there are lots of people out there who love pocket holes; but I'm not one of them. Oh, they're useful and I use them when I feel they are appropriate. But that's not the same as people who use them for everything. Like any other method of joinery, there are times when pocket holes are appropriate and other times when they aren't. In this video, I show some places where pocket holes really aren't the best choice available to us.

I agree with you Rich, great video. I don't own a pocket hole jig. I've only used one at someone else's workshop. My conclusion is they are very quick, they can be accurate if you allow offsets on your joint to allow for movement when tightening. Great for unseen fixed framework and panel work like you have demonstrated. A good time saver for production runs using low skilled labour to save machining joints. They are strong enough in the right place and great for beginners who can achieve their goal quickly.
