So I’ve got my Quad Cortex Mini and..
For a really long time I was playing and practicing via computer only. Then I decided to treat my music passion and to buy some fancy thing. First was this beautiful community membership (never will regret it), then I registered in Freak Guitar Camp 2026 (to meet more people, build presence and inspire), and the last was QC Mini. Since it is always in Sold Out mode, I waited for the device for a 12 weeks. And yesterday was The Day. I was going to delivery station and back wearing one of the happiest faces in my lately life. Tear apart delivery paper box. Carefully unboxed packaging. Plug the power supply (according the manufacturer it should run immediately, but can be set upped later). And? Nothing… Device seems completely dead. I read through the manual, googled an issue, while my mood on a rollercoaster was falling from the highest hill down. Nothing… Then I mailed to both Thomann and Neural DSP, described an issue. And got the answer from manufacturer that power supply is wrong, they will change it ASAP I tested the plug, it works according the values on a description. Compared with the input values, seems right. And this is the only device that has lock power supply system. Which was there. So I tend towards the device itself. While waiting for everything else I tried alternative power supply system with similar values. 0 reaction. Pain

Trade it back in and get the Quad? Well established and a stronger looking chassis.
8-Week Legato Intensive Daily Accountability Check-In
This thread is optional, but it’s usually a very good idea to check in here once you’re done for the day. Consistency is everything in a program like this, and a simple public check-in helps a lot more than most people expect. How to check in Post a comment using this format: Week X - Day X completed Example: Week 1 - Day 3 completed That’s it. No explanations needed. Just mark the work done and move on with your day. Use this thread as your running log for the full 8 weeks.

Week 6 - Day 4 Touchdown Packers! Nice and easy. Slow and low of course. Everything humming along. Loving the add9 arps why haven't I been using those?!? Another great way to get around the fretboard in a very melodic way!! Hope all the Legato warriors are having a productive week!
Week 4 is now live in the classroom🎸
This is where things start to get really interesting. We’re moving beyond just building the mechanics and getting into patterns and movements that actually start to feel like real playing. Here’s what you’ll be working on this week: • Paul Gilbert style sequences for tighter, cleaner string crossings • “Pentatonic sweeps” using rest strokes to prepare you for sweep picking • 3-1-3 shapes for arpeggios and pentatonics. This opens up a completely new way of moving across the neck • A Richie Kotzen style sequence that builds position shifting and hammer-ons from nowhere Everything is still structured and controlled, but now you’ll start to feel how this connects to real musical applications. If you’re not in yet, this is a great time to jump in. You’re not behind. It doesn’t matter if you start on week 1 or week 4. The improvement comes from doing the work properly. Go to the classroom, start where you are, and get to work.

This week looks great! Excited to get started. Especially like the contracting and expanding exercises those are very helpful with legato technique. Also a wonderful technical homage to one of the unsung legato masters; Richie Kotzen!!
Kiko - All Hammers
I fell way behind on Legato Intensive because of work related nightmare. But here’s a cool all hammer etude from Kiko: https://youtube.com/shorts/m7xdYMpTKSQ?si=hLC_CCO5gcLgHIVQ
