8-Week Legato Intensive Daily Accountability Check-In
This thread is optional, but it’s usually a very good idea to check in here once you’re done for the day. Consistency is everything in a program like this, and a simple public check-in helps a lot more than most people expect. How to check in Post a comment using this format: Week X - Day X completed Example: Week 1 - Day 3 completed That’s it. No explanations needed. Just mark the work done and move on with your day. Use this thread as your running log for the full 8 weeks.

Week 6 Day 3 Completed! Feeling invincible at times. :)

Week 6, Day 4 - Completed. A mix of inspiration and burnout, the slidy minor scale is hardest to get up to speed for me, really trying to understand why.

@Juan Larez To each his own, I still prefer Children of Bodom solos to anything I've heard in the past 20 years so I can get that! :D From all the modern tunings and setups I've ended up at a 7 string drop A which is just E standard with an extra A, so anything you know still applies 100%. Relearning different tunings all the time is something I confidently deleted from my journey. :p 4h is plenty, nice! Myself I think I do 2h+ per day on average. I really enjoy the process though, first time I am on this 8 week intensive and I so enjoy the challenge. :)

@Juan Larez Exactly, it's extra range with no additional "CPU load". Extra 7 low notes are huge. Also muting is pretty easy, it's only on 8 strings that it becomes an issue for me, I can not gel with 8s. Hope you get a 7 string then! :D
So I’ve got my Quad Cortex Mini and..
For a really long time I was playing and practicing via computer only. Then I decided to treat my music passion and to buy some fancy thing. First was this beautiful community membership (never will regret it), then I registered in Freak Guitar Camp 2026 (to meet more people, build presence and inspire), and the last was QC Mini. Since it is always in Sold Out mode, I waited for the device for a 12 weeks. And yesterday was The Day. I was going to delivery station and back wearing one of the happiest faces in my lately life. Tear apart delivery paper box. Carefully unboxed packaging. Plug the power supply (according the manufacturer it should run immediately, but can be set upped later). And? Nothing… Device seems completely dead. I read through the manual, googled an issue, while my mood on a rollercoaster was falling from the highest hill down. Nothing… Then I mailed to both Thomann and Neural DSP, described an issue. And got the answer from manufacturer that power supply is wrong, they will change it ASAP I tested the plug, it works according the values on a description. Compared with the input values, seems right. And this is the only device that has lock power supply system. Which was there. So I tend towards the device itself. While waiting for everything else I tried alternative power supply system with similar values. 0 reaction. Pain

@Andrii Vasylkiv Ofc my dude. The app is amazing for starters, you can do everything from the PC so it's as user friendly as it gets. :)

Share Your Lead Patch (Delays and Reverbs) Tips? :)
I am practicing dry 99.9% of the time and I love it. But I can't make a decent solo patch to save my life. Anyone could share some simple recopies for solo patches, like what type or reverb and delay you use and how you route it?

Drop your biggest technique question below (open for everyone)
I'm going live this Friday at 16:00 (Stockholm time) to answer them. Picking, fretting, synchronization, speed, accuracy, phrasing, whatever is frustrating you right now. No question is too basic. I'll go through as many as I can live and give you a real answer, not a generic one. Can't make it live? I'll put the replay in the Classroom afterwards. Drop it in the comments.

I know you said the thumb position isn't a big deal but I think that's where some of my weaknesses lie. Could you talk about it a bit in the context of when you do full position shifts, when you extend fingers in the same position etc? Thank you!
