Setting up
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could answer some questions that I have/give me some advice. I am currently doing assets for life, property deals fast track course, and I’m looking to set up my company. I would like some advice on what company option could be best for me. If I’m planning on being self employed and not have any business partners/employees for the foreseeable future (until my business scales) would I be best suited for a sole trader company? I understand that a limited company is recommended (for its own benefits). However as I’m a beginner and do not have my own company address, I believe my home address would be made public.

@Ellie OGrady You, and your company, are two separate entities, to keep things clear and separate it would be more beneficial (just to name two reasons - tax benefits and legal liability benefits) for your company to be the one that trades with your potential clients - you are then simply employed by your trading company. This is a normal and professionally accepted standard within the property industry Ellie. 🚨 Urgent help 🙏🏼
Hi all, my partner and his brother and sister are trying to put their commercial property worth £750k in their company name as their parents passed away a few years back. (The property is in lewisham and is fully let.) And they would like to remortgage the property as it's mortgage free and has a lot of equity sitting there. But I don't understand commercial and according to solicitors they'll need to pay stamp duty. About 40k which they do not have. What's the best way to try and get mortgage without incurring this many expenses? Or is anyone willing to lend some Money? 👀 We are relocating soon, and we must sort this out by December . Any suggestions is hugely appreciated

@Alba De Carlo there are too many variables and unknowns that will play at crucial role in the best advice scenario. They will need to sound out 2-3 licensed and independent mortgage brokers that can steer them along the right path - for them! Test the advice and recommendations of 2-3 licenced independent mortgage brokers who have a good knowledge of the geographic area the property resides in, and have a good working relationship / experience with the myriad of lenders who offer a variety of options. Then go with who you are the most comfortable with and whose recommendations and advice fits your goals. They should also be able to work alongside / put you in touch with the relevant independent tax / legal professionals.
