🔴 Zoom Livestream Update — It Works!
For everyone who asked me to report back after I messed around with Zoom livestreaming… 😂 Yes, you CAN livestream directly from Zoom. I couldn't complete my YouTube test because I still had to get through YouTube's 24-hour livestream verification/wait, but I was able to configure everything and successfully stream to Facebook. 🙌 A few things I learned: 1️⃣ You need a paid Zoom plan. I'm on the first/cheapest paid tier. The free Basic plan doesn't give you this livestreaming option. To turn it on, go to: Zoom Settings → Meetings → Advanced Meeting Settings → Allow livestreaming Then choose which services you want to allow. Mine gives me Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, and a custom livestreaming service. Once that's enabled, start your Zoom meeting and go to: More → Live Stream → Choose your platform Then Zoom walks you through connecting it. 2️⃣ You can also make it look more like a two-person podcast/interview. 🎙️ This is where Spotlight comes in. Once your guests are actually in the Zoom meeting, you can spotlight the host and guest you want featured. That tells Zoom which participants should stay prominently displayed instead of having whoever happens to speak take over the screen. So if you're interviewing somebody but also have other people inside the Zoom meeting, you can keep the host + guest as the focus instead of your layout jumping around every time somebody makes noise. 😂 You'll want to check your livestream/recording layout settings too if it's important that the other attendees never appear in the final stream or recording. 3️⃣ What I've actually tested so far: ✅ Zoom → Facebook worked ⏳ Zoom → YouTube wasn't ready for me yet ❓ Multiple platforms simultaneously — haven't tested it yet ⚠️ I had some lag on Facebook, so that's my next troubleshooting adventure. 😂 But the big takeaway: If you're already paying for Zoom, you may be able to livestream your interview or podcast-style Zoom directly to another platform without adding another piece of software.

What are your October goals?
As we come to the end of September, it is easy to look back and regret everything that was not finished or even started. How about instead of looking back with disappointment, we look forward with renewed purpose and energy. What is one thing that you are either moving forward to october or are adjusting for October?

Hi @Eli Del Rio I am 😀
How do you tackle intimidating situations?
Such situations are normal in the everyday living as humans, especially when you are motivated to do more than what you know. I have always admired when people add products esp. books on KDP, and they have all those extra images. I finally conquered that hurdle and learned how to add them in. Now, of course, I do not know everything to know about them, but I am dancing on air right now. So how do you tackle such, and how long does it take?

I love that you said you’re “dancing on air” because finally figuring out something that has intimidated you for a while really does feel like that. For me, intimidating things usually get bigger the longer I keep thinking about them. I do better when I can stop looking at the whole thing and just figure out the first piece I need to learn or try. Sometimes it takes me a while, especially if I’ve built it up in my head, but once I actually get started, it’s usually not nearly as bad as I imagined. And now that you’ve figured out those extra KDP images, I’m curious. Was learning how to do it actually as hard as you thought it was going to be?
