Good morning Conquerors! Well.... I actually didn't get much sleep at all last night. But part of that was because I went dancing. Which is good for me on all levels. That being said, I considered if I should do "Productivity Zone" today. And ultimately said yes. At least take the approach and do the laundry. So I did my meditation morning routine etc. Then decided "laundry" would be the target during Productivity Zone time. And I almost didn't set a timer. But I'm glad I did. I set a 20 minute timer, put affirming music playlist in earbud, and started. And the fact is, somehow, by the time the first 20 minute timer went off, I had started a load, emptied the dryer which had clothes, folded them etc and put them away, and added more clothes to the dirty basket. Why is this mind blowing for me? Because I purposely did NOT rush at all. I purposely said the point of doing things in this manner is so I don't get further burnt out etc. So I was amazed that timer was still going That being said, I made myself SIT after 20 minutes. I'm on my first "break" now.

@Cathy K Oh really Can you tell how do you feel and how you overcome it

@Cathy K This makes a lot of sense, honestly. What stood out to me is when you said, "don't give up" instead of "fix your situation." A lot of people are carrying battles that nobody sees, and sometimes simply continuing to show up every day is a victory on its own. I have also started realizing that happiness isn't always found in big achievements. Sometimes it's the small things a good conversation, listening to music, learning something new, helping someone, watching a beautiful sunset, or even having a moment of peace after a stressful day. I like your point about not depending on other people to determine whether you have a good day. That's something many of us are still learning. Being open to connection while not making it the foundation of our happiness is a powerful balance. Thank you for sharing your story. It's a reminder that resilience isn't always loud it can be as simple as choosing not to give up today. ❤️

Good morning Conquerors! How is everyone today? Two quotes came to mind after my meditation this morning: "One CHOICE at a time" And "We are what we repeatedly do" So that being said.. what is ONE choice you could make right now that could even possibly help you? Could be: I'm choosing to drink a glass of water Could be: I'm choosing to take my vitamins Could be: I'm choosing to go outside for 5 minutes and breathe Etc I think especially when things feel completely uncertain, and also with adhd, we literally don't connect our choices to the results. We might connect the "big" choices. But not the thousands of "little" choices we make every single day. Let's improve our lives right now, by making one positive choice 😁

Cathy, this is honestly inspiring to read. What stands out to me is that none of these breakthroughs happened all at once they came from one choice at a time. First the hallway pile, then sticking to your 20/20 rhythm, then driving to the library despite the anxiety. The fact that your anxiety was 8/10 and you still did it is a huge win. I also love how you identified specific conditions and tools that help you succeed instead of judging yourself for needing them. That's self-awareness and progress. The library trip may seem small to some people, but it sounds like a major step forward. Looking forward to hearing what your anxiety level is the second time you do the same route. Keep recording the wins they're adding up, even when it doesn't feel like it in the moment. 👏
Top o Hour Thursday June 18!
Good morning Conquerors! How is everyone? I just deployed (still am but I'm almost done with my list] what I'm calling 5 minute wins! I understand not everyone NEEDS to do this. But some of us do, so I wanted to share in case it helps someone 🥰 I have to be ready for my appointment at 9:10 So what I did is figure out the steps required in order to do that. Wrote those down. And figured out how many 5-minute segments are in that amount of time. And assigned a "task" to a 5 minute slot This gave proof to my brain that we CAN do this. So then it let me get up. And the FACT is, by doing this, I actually got downstairs in half the time than I allotted. Without rushing So what I do is I write out steps. And allott each step 5 minutes. If I finish the step before the 5 minutes goes off, I just move on to the next step. But the timers make sure I don't get "stuck" in any step. It also allows my brain to just FOCUS on ONE step for 5 minutes at a time (if needed). Anyway just wanted to share because I'm definitely tired and all the things yet this allowed me to do it! Love you guys! 🥰

This is actually a really smart approach. 👏 I love how you broke a big task into tiny, manageable wins instead of focusing on everything at once. Sometimes our brains see the whole mountain and freeze, but giving yourself one 5-minute step at a time makes it feel achievable. Also, the fact that you finished in less time than expected without rushing is proof that momentum is often harder than the task itself. Definitely going to try the "5-minute wins" method on days when my brain doesn't want to cooperate. Thanks for sharing! 🥰

Good morning Conquerors! 🥰 How is everyone this morning? It is currently storming so that woke me up. Doing my best to stay calm about it 😊 Turned on a meditation and wrote in my journal. First two streaks for the day 😁
