Im busy applying to JP Morgan Financial Services Apprenticeship, and it gives the option of adding a cover letter. Is it better to have one or not? Whats it purpose? If I should have one, what should it be about as it only mentions the ability to add one (not compulsory) Sorry for this being a bit barebones way of posting but wanted to put this out quickly

Bit late but regardless - Year 12 doing econ, maths and psychology. Going for banking (front office) / accounting (FSO). Apart from that, tied between degree apprenticeship and uni -- entirely depends on whats the better offer at the end of the day.
