Ambient nonsense
This short track was inspired by a dream I had about rowing across an infinite lake full of floating purple chrysanthemums. I apologise in advance to anybody foolish enough to click the link. I like discordant sounds, and this thing has some. I just put it together and uploaded it now, so I wouldn't do anything differently (apart from learn how to make visuals all by myself!)

Hi guys, thanks for listening and your comments. There is a bit of deliberate distortion involved, because I began working with a pure sine wave sample. The main instrument was the sampler in Renoise, together with some stock plugins. Right now I'm taking my first steps in Bitwig, which I used here to stick bits together and export the finished file.

@Rob Pullan quite right!
I was completely wrong about X
...but now I've seen the light! This is my 'interesting question': When was the last time you discovered that something you strongly believed in before was wrong, false, or mistaken in some way? And how did that discovery make you feel? With regards to music production I recently had an earth shattering revelation - sometimes it's okay to use a sample pack or synth preset. Previously that would have been utter sacrilege to me. Discovering I might have been overlooking useful tools and methods has got me excited about new possibilities. How about you? 🙂
Good morning/afternoon/evening!
Hello everybody, my name is Matt, I'm not from here but currently living in the North of Spain. Many moons ago I used to DJ, and worked for about a decade in the music business. I have picked up a few synths over the years, and have recently become interested in, and started working with Renoise and Bitwig. I like ambient and techno, but am also not unfond of disco, house, rock and many other genres. I also enjoy cycling, and reading papers on longevity!

Hi Luciano, good to meet you too. Well there have been a few Korgs (including the MS-2000), one or two Roland boxes (like the TR-606), and I have fond memories of the Novation Supernova, and the Jomox XBase09. Right now I've cut down somewhat and am trying to focus on software, but I still own a lovely Elektron Machinedrum (kind of a little modular synth), an actual little modular system, a Microfreak, and a Yamaha Reface DX. How about you? As far as longevity goes, I think the best things are regular exercise and good sleeping habits of course, but there are perhaps some dietary changes we could/should make. If you don't have unlimited time for reading scientific papers yourself, a far better source of info than me on the topic are certain YouTube channels such as one I like called "Conquer Aging Or Die Trying!" Speaking of diet, is it easy to eat healithy there in Italy at the moment?
