Mission: The Drew Ross Memorial Foundation (DRMF) is dedicated to inspiring patriotism, selfless service, and perseverance to strengthen communities. Our focus is to honor the legacy of fallen service members by supporting Gold Star families, friends, and the broader community. We provide hands-on therapeutic support through our woodworking program for veterans in the STAR program at the Richmond VA, fostering healing and resilience. Each year, we bring together veterans, active-duty service members, and civilians for our annual Ruck & Roll event in Richmond, Virginia. This event honors the service and sacrifice of those who fought to protect our freedoms during the Global War on Terror while raising funds to support the GWOT Memorial Foundation’s efforts to establish a national memorial on the National Mall. Beyond these flagship initiatives, we offer financial assistance to Gold Star families, Afghan allies, student leaders, and community service projects, ensuring that the spirit of service and sacrifice continues to impact lives in meaningful ways. Creating guidance that facilitates the legacy of our organization and providing enough guidance that allows volunteers to execute independently. My first challenge/goal is to complete the SITREP.

We provide outdoor excursions for ill and injured veterans and their families to help them heal from years of combat exposure. Our innovative approach to mental health and suicide prevention prioritizes small group dynamics, immersion in nature, and minimal electronic distractions, creating a transformative and deeply impactful experience. By immersing participants in the awe-inspiring beauty of nature, we aim to rejuvenate spirits, alleviate stress, and promote emotional resilience.

We provide tailored outdoor adventures and support services to veterans and their families, addressing their unique physical, mental, and social needs. Through camaraderie forged amidst the challenges and triumphs of outdoor exploration, participants develop lasting friendships and support networks, ensuring they never feel alone on their journey to wellness.
