Alcon Connection?
@Student Success Office is there anyone in the EYS network with Alcon? I was automatically rejected from a role I am extremely qualified for. I had a referral and have spoken to many people at the company including the hiring manager. The hiring manger said, the recruiter isn't able to see my application and for me to reapply. The application process won't let me reapply. Thought I would reach out and ask if anyone happens to know someone that can help at Alcon. I sent the hiring manager (communicating via text) the date I applied (March 24th) and the Job Req number.

@Elizabeth Rapihana many recruiters are overworked and handling multiple requisitions at once. For example, my most recent role my TA had 60 roles he was recruiting for and was only willing to screen my “top 4 candidates” based off of a list of 15 candidates I sent. The strategy has to be targeted for 3 clear groups: 1) ATS (applicant tracking systems) 2) Talent Acquisition/ Hiring Manager 3) Strong Network/ Referral Source Number 3 helps candidates skip the line as the other two alternatives can lead to a traffic jam or many getting stuck in bottle necks.
