Contracts
APEX intraday evaluation states 6 contracts max.. Paper traders doesnt have “contracts”. It calls them “units”. Are these the same thing? The reason I ask, is that i like to trade some things that require 30-50 units to get close to 500 USD risked. 6 units would be like 60$. Obviously im not understanding something… if I trade in Gold, it usually 1 unit… not all units are created equal and before i buy an eval, i want to make sure I understand

Hi! Yes, correct. Units is the contract size. And it depends on what you are trading. If you are trading minis like NQ or ES then the max contracts will be 6. If you are trading micros like MNQ or MES then the max contracts will be 60. And then APEX has a suspension on trading metals so gold wouldn’t be an option.
First Payout!!!
I’m happy to report that I was approved for my first Apex payout for the max amount allowable today. It’s been quite the journey, but it’s awesome to see the results of my hard work paying off. I have a lot to be thankful for and certainly Kyle and this community have played a big role. I’m into scaling up now and keeping the momentum. You can do this!!!! I’m an impatient person and I had to learn to take it slow with discipline and control. That’s the only way to make this work. My next goal is five PA’s that I’m consistently rotating payouts with. Keep after it, gang!!!!

My mind is blown
Kyle really pushed into my mind that When and Where is more important than How. So, I decided to start practicing today based on the importance of the When and the Where more than how I will set my trades. I logged every trade honestly and took as much notes on my trades as I could. Within the time span of 9:30am to 11:45 am, I found 11 trades to take based on When and Where across 4 different assets. I kept my risk around $150-$180 and went for an average of 2.8:1. My mind is blown in the part where I lost 5 out of 11 trades, but after all trades I profited $1,928.25. I used to get so frustrated with losses and would revenge trade without sticking to my initial plan. I can see now that losses are inevitable but if I stick to my plan, it will work out.

@Clark Walker I was looking at MCG, MES, MNQ, and CL today. It just happened to be a good day as far as hitting the highs and lows I was looking at.

@Clark Walker Right! 3 contracts. I meant to look at MCL but it worked out to a risk size of $180
Start living!!
Found the below post on X this morning and believe it applies here....time to take control and start living the way we want!!! Crazy how it's considered normal to drop your kids off at daycare 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, just to drive to a job that pays for daycare, the car, and a home you're barely in. We're literally working to afford a life we hardly get to live.

Day Trading Struggles 😭
What has been your biggest challenge with day trading AND what about Day 2's session gives you confidence you can overcome that challenge?

I found your community a year ago and found early success. But then I let my greed and urgency slink into my trading and I started ignoring my original trading plan. Things didn’t go well after that. I’m so happy to see you tell me to go back to basics — to keep it simple. I’m excited to pull back and really focus in on the most important parts of trading that I struggle with — the when and the where.
