What’s going on good brother @Matt Dillingham Good to see you man! Make yourself at home and share that good leadership knowledge with us that I know you possess… I will get with you soon brother… Love you man and I hope all is well up there in the DMV… Semper Fidelis!
First in, last out?
Should a leader be the first one in and the last one out? One side says yes. You can't ask people to give their best if you aren't willing to. Your presence sets the standard, and people notice who shows up. The other side says that's exactly the problem. When the leader never leaves, the team learns that exhaustion is the expectation. It can also quietly say "I don't trust you to handle it without me." And a leader who never rests eventually leads from an empty tank. I have my own leanings on this one, but I want to hear yours first. Where do you land, and what experience taught you that?

@Susan Throop In the military it works pretty simple, “Leaders eat last.” The leader is expected to lead the led. Once that leader gets replaced, the cycle continues and repeat's itself over and over again. It works and is very conducive for that environment. Wouldn’t recommend it in every situation or environment by any means.

Welcome!
Welcome to ULA
🎉 Please help us welcome @Karen Gergely @Sophia Wilson to Unified Leadership Academy! Ladies, glad you’re here. This community is built around one simple idea: none of us are finished growing as leaders. I’d love to know a little about you. Where are you joining us from, and what is one area of leadership you want to get better at right now? Everyone, say hello to Beth and help her feel at home here. 👏
