Question
What’s more important when building wealth: how much you make, or how well you manage what you make? I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately. Before real estate became a major part of my journey, I focused on building multiple streams of income. What I realized is that increasing income is only one part of the equation. If your cash flow, expenses, reinvestment, and risk aren’t managed properly, making more money doesn’t necessarily mean building more wealth. So I’m curious to hear from everyone here: If you suddenly had an extra $10,000 in cash today, what would you do with it and why? Would you: - Invest it into real estate? - Put it into another income-producing asset? - Keep it as a cash reserve? - Pay down debt? - Invest in yourself or your business? There’s no right answer. I’m genuinely interested in seeing how different investors think about capital allocation.

Why I Don’t Worry About Competition
I’m not worried about competition. I’ve learned that competition becomes a distraction when you lose sight of your mission, purpose, and own lane. The moment you stop comparing your journey to someone else’s, you can focus on becoming better than who you were yesterday. That mindset has played a big role in my real-estate journey. Before I got into real estate, I focused on building multiple streams of income and cash flow. Looking back, I’m grateful I took that step early because having multiple sources of cash flow gave me more flexibility and made my real-estate journey much easier to navigate. My advice to anyone working a 9–5 who wants to venture into real estate: don’t feel like you have to jump overnight. Start building your financial foundation and additional cash-flow streams while you're still working. Then you can enter real estate with more flexibility, options, and confidence. You don’t have to race someone else. Master your lane. Build your own path. Stay focused on your mission. When you stop looking sideways, you have a lot more energy to move forward. What’s one thing you’re currently building outside of your main source of income?

@Norman Ho Hey Norman, great to connect with you. I’m also new to the community and wanted to say hello. I’ve had success in real estate, but before getting there, I spent time building multiple income streams and learning from different opportunities. Looking back, those steps really shaped my journey. I’m always interested in connecting with people who are open to thinking beyond just one path and building something meaningful over time. Would love to hear a little about your journey too.
Some people talk about building a business that lasts.
Kay Walker actually did it. So proud to share that Kay is joining us at the Land + AI Mastermind at the farm next month. Here's why it matters: most people build a land business that works in one market. The second conditions change — a pandemic, a rate shock, a shift nobody saw coming — they're exposed. She built the opposite. A lean, durable operation designed to outlast whatever the market throws at it. Fewer moving parts, stronger relationships, better deals. She's a dear friend, she knows this game better than almost anyone, and she said yes because she genuinely wants to pour into the operators in that room. Thank you Rhea for the idea! Oct 22–25 · Ten Talents Farm, Knoxville. The roster is filling up. If you've been thinking about it, now's the time to register.

@Raimie Mardonada Hey Raimie, great connecting with you. I’m also in the real estate space and came across your profile here in the community. I’ve built experience across a few income streams and had some solid success through real estate, so I’m always interested in connecting with others who are focused on building capital and acquiring more properties. What type of properties are you mainly focused on right now?

@Raimie Mardonada That’s interesting, mobile home parks and RV parks can be a great space. I’ve had success in real estate too, but before real estate I built a few other income streams, and honestly, those helped make my real estate journey much easier. Out of curiosity, what are you building for yourself outside of real estate that can generate income without you having to be present?
New here excited to connect 👋
Hey everyone, just joined the Land League and wanted to introduce myself. I’ve been involved in real estate and business for a while, and I’m always looking for ways to sharpen my knowledge, learn new strategies, and connect with people who are actually taking action. Land investing is an area I’m especially interested in exploring deeper particularly how people are using AI, systems, and creative deal strategies to find and close better opportunities. Looking forward to learning from everyone here, sharing ideas where I can, and building some genuine connections along the way. What’s one thing you’ve learned about land investing that you wish you knew when you first started?
