All good here Ricky. Fasted until 1pm, had a great workout. Still leaning up nicely. As I've mentioned before I've been using a lot of Lucas Hedenbeck's nutrition and his supplement protocols (he was kind enough to send me them) over the last few weeks which have really helped with my gut health, sleep and recovery. Lots of walking, dropped the artificial sweetener crap, and just eating clean, whole foods. Hope everyone else is doing well and enjoying the approaching summer - at least here in the Northern Hemisphere!

Weight loss has been pretty consistent Ricky. Definitely leaning up too. And every single lifting workout I'm adding a rep or weight so progressive overload is still occurring.

Good here, I've lost nearly another 2lbs. I've been eating super clean over the last 2 weeks or so and been feeling fantastic. Been utilisiing some of Lucas Hedenbeck's tips which seem to have made a huge difference, especially his tips to improve gut health and maximise nutritional absorption. I've cut out artificial sweetners, anything ultra-processed, and been adding fermented foods to most meals (sauerkraut or kimchi), or have a spoonful of sauerkraut before a meal, and a glass of kefir with collagen once a day. Seems to have made an enormous difference, my energy levels are better, and my stomach feels great. Lifts have been shooting up as well. All in all I'm a happy chappie!

Having a nice week so far. It's now my week off work so just trying to get my steps in. Lifting tomorrow so will be eating at a slight surplus. Trying to also eat only whole foods this week so today's meals were: 1) 400g lean ground beef, 3 eggs, rice, broccolini and kimchi. 2) 150g sirloin steak cooked in a little butter with fresh thyme. 1/2 watermelon drizzled with a little honey. 3) Later before bed I'm having some overnight oats (with 0.5% milk, 0% Greek yoghurt, chia seeds), fresh raspberries and a little honey. Apart from that trying to do stretching and zazen (Zen meditation which I've been doing since 2023) at least 4 times a week. Might go swimming this weekend with my son and want to do some boxing on the heavybag if I can fit it in. Hope everyone else is having a good week.
Healthy In-N-Out Burger Spread/Sauce
I've only been in LA once but one of the best things about it and California is In-N-Out Burger, and one of the best things about In-N-Out is their tangy burger sauce which they call spread. One of my go to meals every week is a big burger bowl with ground beef, airfried potatoes, lettuce, onions, tomato, and to top it off this take on In-N-Out's burger spread is a sauce I often use. It's awesome and will take your burger bowl to the next level. It's low fat and high protein and tastes amazing and like the real deal. This makes about 3/4 of a cup. You can refrigerate any leftovers and it's also great with fries (just like they do at In-N-Out), airfried chicken, cheese quesadillas, etc. 1 tbs low fat mayo 1/2 cup 0% Greek yoghurt 3 tbs sugar free or reduced sugar ketchup 1 tsp American yellow mustard (like French's) 1 tsp Apple cider vinegar 2 to 3 tbs sweet pickle relish (adjust to how sweet the relish you use is, some can be very sweet, you want this tangy) Pinch of salt and pepper. Whisk everything up well and enjoy!

@Rick Agnessi coach All good and chugging along mate. It's been my work week where I burn a lot of calories, and I've been good with my diet this week. Good deficit on non-lifting days. Lost nearly 2 lbs over the last week.
Somebody had to mention this...
I just watched Greg from Kinobody's video on YouTube where he's come out and said he's now injecting himself with Tirzepatide. To say I was shocked and saddened is an understatement. I'm here in Ricky's group because, like I imagine some did, I came to Ricky via his time with Kinobody and Moviestar Chef. I first started following Kinobody back in 2016 and it was a revelation. It was great principles like Ricky uses and which he has tweaked, based on simple strength training with an emphasis on progressive overload, a really easy form of IF (pushing your first meal later in the day to make it easier to eat at a deficit) and walking. All of this fitted in so easily with the rest of your life compared to most fitness regimes. I wanted to post this as I knew it would come up as I know Ricky has worked with Greg in the past and it needed to be said. And Ricky, I'm just so pleased I'm a member of your group where we're getting lean and/or doing lean bulking naturally and without having to inject ourselves with substances which still haven't had long term medical studies regarding safety or side-affects. Really sad to see this from Greg.

Hi Ricky, Thanks for your perspective. I've always liked Greg ever since I discovered Kinobody, he always comes across as a likeable, passionate guy. Personally I think he's started to lose sight of what was unique about his approach to fitness and what made it so popular with those of us who followed it. It was his "natural" approach to fitness and getting lean and strong - and most importantly which worked - which is why his programs went absolute gangbusters. Now I don't mind taking some BCAAs, some creatine, some whey protein and some bovine collagen powder but when someone starts suggesting that injecting yourself with a substance which is medically recommended ONLY for either diabetes or people with extreme obesity to make dropping to a lower BF percentage easier, then I think it's drifted far and away from a natural attitude to nutrition and healthy fitness. Interestingly there's a guy who appears to be a pharmacologist who has been responding in the comments to Greg's video and he has ripped Greg's comments that this is entirely safe, healthy and normal to absolute shreds. I love Greg's attitude from around 2015/2016 to fitness and I don't hold anything against help nor wish him ill but this latest video is beyond the pale. I hope he comes to his senses and goes back to what were the principles of Kinobody. Greg is getting older and staying lean and strong requires more effort than it does when you're in your 20s but that's not a bad thing, it's a fun challenge and you can do it without injecting things in an attempt to alter your hunger hormones. I'll stick to the "Fitter After 40" community principles and the principles that Greg was using back in 2015/2016 to achieve my fitness goals. Sorry for the long post and I hope everyone is having a nice Easter and enjoyed the odd bit of chocolate or two ;) Tim
