Meeting this weekend. April 11/12
Hey guys, apologies for the radio silence over the last couple of days. I managed to pop my back ( again !) Lots of stretching and swearing ! But I did spend some time looking through YouTube...some amazing music and amazing music teachers on there . Who are your favourites ? Anyway, I'm on the mend and hoping to have a meetup this weekend, if you are on for it. Would Saturday at 3pm or Sunday at 4pm my time ( 8 /9 am in US, 9/10 pm in Asia ) suit any of you. Let me know. I can introduce some less common chord progressions and ways of playing chords. Also I can introduce an unusual, 10 string modified guitar that I am playing a lot these days .. any other suggestions ? Hope to see you over the weekend.

Hi Tom, I've just recognized that your Sunday meeting is at exactly the same time as Finbar's masterclass. As I am paying him for his class I'll go there first and perhaps you'll still be around an hour later. As a planning data point, Finbar's Sunday class is currently scheduled to run at 4pm UK for the foreseeable future. It has changed once since January, and may change again, but for now, I send this info.

Hi, heard about this group at Pro Gig Academy. Looking forward to learning some music theory to supplement the very basics I know. Bought an acoustic guitar in University a long time ago, but put it away during my career. Now retired and starting to play again. Since retiring I have another acoustic and an electric. Would like to get to a point to be in a band or gig solo (hence PGA).

@Tom Kenna funny I was so focused on guitar jumping from the PGA call...more importantly for me is songwriting (for guitar and voice). Theory will help me understand why chord progressions are chosen and how to write my own. I need more than a I-IV-V-I progression!
