Brief Introduction!
Hello! I go by Sam! I'll be playing my first volleyball season shortly! I have taught myself how to set, dive, pancakes, jump serve, and am currently trying to learn the float serve. I'm excited to learn even more in this community! One of my biggest strengths:My general flexibility to play any position and my defense. One of my biggest weaknesses: I overthink setting and hitting/spiking with top spin down force. .

Great work, sam, its nice to meet u as well.keep practicing, and what were your tactics by the way in learning the tricks, get some equipment if possible to learn to spike,or join a club to get trained If u can for now,its best to use videos and research. Good luck out there
Any tips for team tryouts?
I'm going to a tryout for a team/club this week, and they'll probably chose who can join based on their skill level. Any tips?

Tip no 1. Dress like you are ready for a volleyball practice and calm your nerves 2.show the coach which area your stronger eg. You are good at blocking and defense but you a level one. As long as you show interest in learning you should make the team 3. Be on time or be early shows your dedication and interest in the sport. You can also relax and maybe stretch to get your blood flowing 4. If you bring your cell phone keep it in your bag to avoid distractions 5.if you play aggressive in terms of going after every ball once its in your way or called for it,you can impress coach and they will think that you are eager and willing to get the ball back. 6.If he/she asks for a ball boy/girl Be first to volunteer, showing a helping hand can be impressive. 7. Being coachable or supportive You may be a good player, but it is better when you support and acknowledge and comminicate greatly with your team members. 1. Dont let a mistake carry any dead weight SHAKE IT OFF and learn from your error and move on better 2. Try not to talk at the same time as coach,if you have a question kindly raise your hand after they are don 3. Pay attention to every detail of the coach's word and on the court
Setter/DS drills
Hi I play setter/DS for about 2 years now and I am curious if anyone has any tips or drill that you can do at home. Thank you

You need a ball and a wall (u can even use a balloon if you are correcting hand posture) throw some sets against that wall, try some hand posture correcting sets, backward set, forward setd too and if you have more space work on fast to slow tempo
